I think in this buyers market moving up 3 spots [from 16] might cost a forth.
But I dont like two offensive draft picks in the first four rounds.
One is good. This in my mind and if the players fall to us is
a defensive draft.

I would hate to see any trade ups...there is too much value in the first 4 rounds or so, so giving one up scares me...there are too many positions that need an infusion of talent and youth right now....

I agree. But Donald may be pay dirt. Then again maybe not. If so this is good trade. If not then not bad trade but terrible trade. To me that would be Marinelli's call. I'll bet you all I have that they have the trade up and down stuff already worked out AMAP.

Agree, I can't remember the last time the Cowboys traded up for a player and it ended paying off. Giving up a 2nd for MO Claiborne hurt.

I'm against any trades.

We need to sit pat..

Pick the BPA in each spot and then use the mid and later rounds to reach where appropriate.

We have to have a solid understanding of rds. 3 -7..

..this will be our key.

If you are going to move up ................move up for somebody who would actually be gone before we pick. Donald is nice but go get Clowney or Watkins if your going to flush our draft picks down the terlet.

Fail.

No moving up.

And there's no help at DE prior to the 7th round.

Double-Fail.

I like that you went OL and DL but you are DEFENATLEY NOT IN CHARGE OF THE TRADING.

Exactly right.

If the kid is there at #16 I'm running to the podium with the card.

If he ain't... Well I could take the top rated OL, which wouldn't be a bad move or I'm trading down... No, I'm not taking any of the DE options at #16, nor am I taking Jerrigan there.

I think yr right. Been seeing these old draft stories where they planned to draft jerry rice or Lynn swan and missed by one slot. If u think Donald is just a nice player than stand pat but if u believe he will change yr whole line play for the next 8 years take him. There's a drop off in talent especially if Qbs don't go early.
Looking at history, for a third I think Donald is pro bowl caliber player in this system and u don't pay melton and spend that money on a Greg Hardy. Bears would be happy if stay and draft bpa. Likely zack or shazier. Simply guard or linebacker are not going to have the same impact

If you trade up with a 3rd. Instead of reaching for Billy Turner. How about trading back down and seeing if you can get that 3rd back. Billy Turner should be available in the 3rd from what I've seen.

I also think if you leave this draft without an edge speed rusher it would be a huge disappointment.

Good posts. If you think Donald is your 3 then you move up a few if its reasonable. As far as trading down it depends on the trade, with whom, and if you can get an equal player later.

There are some prospects at rushing end later in the draft like Sam, Lynch, and Sutton.
