I don't know how far up. I don't know for whom but I'm willing to bet $1000 we are trading up in the1st round.
I'm calling it now, JJ has eluded to that point on more than one occasions.

The only way we trade up is for a dominant pass rusher. I'm not sure there is a big difference between the mid to late first rounders, so I think they will stay put or even trade back.

OK. For who or what position exactly? What exactly do you believe the Cowboys are willing to give up?? Very interesting post??

Looking at some of the players Cowboys have been working out I think Cowboys can stay at 28 and still get a very good player. This appears to be a pretty deep draft on defense

They may very well stay put, however JJ as made numerous references about a trade up.

I think I'd break things if they moved up in the 1st and got a te.

I don't think I would like that, unless somehow, OJ Howard got within range...I think that kid will be special as a receiver for whomever grabs him...I can see that being the Browns 2nd pick

I don't think they are enamored with any one player in particular so I don't see it. I bet they stay right where they are.

I'll bet you a thousand dollars that Jerry will have a little Johnnie Walker Blue tonight.

It would be monumentally stupid to,trade up this year. You can't get up far enough to make it worth while. This is the year to trade back and get an extra 3rd rounder. Five picks in the top four rounds would go a long way to rebuilding the defense and maybe let them pick up one more offensive weapon.

If it falls the way most expect, yes.

But if a guy tpyou strongly feel is a top 10 player drops i to the 20s...you'd have to consider it.

If that happens, you always take him. My point is that you don't trade up and give up valuable picks in a deep draft. Instead, you want more picks because you can get similar players where you trade down to but you always take great value that drops to you.

There is zero percent chance the Cowboys trade up. It's not worth giving up a draft pick (when there are only 6 to start with) to get a player that won't be a whole lot better than whats available at 28. I'd be open to trading down however.
