He admitted he was speculating Bly, and everyone seized on it though as if that was the only possible trade.

I can't wrap my head around more than one scenario.:(

What with the trauma, and all.

Guys, these trade rumors are moving in full force right now seeing as how a few more Commanders restructured their contracts to free up money, probably to give Bly a new contract. While I dont believe Betts will be involved in the trade seeing as how well he has played for us, but nothing will shock me. We seem to want to trade out of the 6th spot for more picks and Denver looks like they will be our partner.

Trading for more picks can be a good thing, but trading out of the top six I think is a very questionable thing this year. There is quite a bit of real talent in the top 10 players this year. I think it foolish to trade out of the top six.

Russell, Thomas, Johnson, Gains, Branch, Anderson, Quinn, Peterson, Landry, etc. Dumb to trade out of the top six... :thumbdo:

Trading out of the Top 6 when you dont pick again til the 5th round I dont think is questionable at all. Theres always quite a bit of real talent in the top 10, thats why its the top 10.

Considering the skins need a lot of everything trading down for more picks is probably a good idea. Considering they only have one first and what- a fifth then the lower ones. they need so much on D right now that 3 picks on the first day would help them a lot. So I hope they do not trade.

That would be an amazingly bizarre trade for Denver, when you looka t what they gave up for Bly, and now what they'd be giving up to move to #6.

I can't see any player being worth that, who is gonna be there at 6, unless they're looking to make another play to move higher for Johnson.

It's probably the very reason why Denver picked up Bly. So they could screw the Commanders again. Shanahan is a very smart guy, and well... Mr. Snyder is proving time and time again that he is not. (football wise anyhow)

Peterson isn't going to be there at 6. He won't get past Cleveland at 3.

Maybe, maybe not. Cleveland is a high possibility, but who knows what will happen.

I think the Broncos might well be interested in the same players the Skins would be if they remained at 6-- Gaines Adams or Alan Branch... maybe Jamaal Anderson...

Talk about a guy that is never afraid of being critical about the Skins. I still appreciate what B-mitch meant to our team though.

Commanders and Broncos could swap picks in Bly deal
According to the Washington Post, Denver and Washington are currently in trade talks centering around Dre Bly. One rumor has the Broncos sending Bly and a first and second round pick to the Commanders in exchange for the sixth overall pick in the draft.

The Broncos and Commanders have been frequent trade partners in the past and Dre Bly continues to request a trade to Washington, so expect some kind of deal to happen soon. Another rumor has Bly being moved for Ladell Betts.

7. The Lions trading Dre' Bly -- It seems to me that Bly quickly showed his true colors by complaining that he wanted Detroit to trade him to Washington rather than Denver, because the Commanders were willing to give him a new contract and the Broncos aren't. Show me a guy who'd rather play for the perennially losing Commanders than the perennially winning Broncos and I'll show you the type of player that Lions coach Rod Marinelli is trying to weed out of his locker room.
