What's out there and doable for Jerry to pull the plug and make some trades to help this team get to where they need to be.

Who would you trade for guys?

Not quite sure we'd have to hear of some teams that are listening to trade ideas or whatever, see who's on the block and what compensation do they want. Often times for us, we make a trade when there's a MAJOR need

Need a good linebacker. I don't know who you could trade for but that would help a good bit I think.

I go back and forth with trading Parsons. Feel one way when he gets a sack, feel another when he whines on social media.

I'm just not sure who is out there that would be available and a fit.

Carolina is a team that has a ton of talent, but most of that is also on defense. Does it make sense to give up significant draft capital for an Brian Burns or Derrick Brown? If the Vikings look to be sellers you also need to keep Danielle Hunter on the radar. He would be expensive at a luxory at this point but those types of moves could make the Cowboys defense next level.

Denver is another team to look at. They have some talent at WR in Juedy/Sutton that should be available but Jeudy needs a new contract and Sutton is probably overpaid.

Jaylon Johnson from the Bears? Not sure if CB would be a high priority for the Cowboys to add to, but that would give you a ton of flexibility on the back end of the defense that you lost when Diggs went down.

LB Jordan Hicks from Minnesota could be an interesting name to monitor. Maybe even a Derrick Henry or dare I say Zeke?

It seems to be shaking up to be a season where the Cowboys needs and the players available at the deadline just dont match up well unless they are willing to add to a position of strength. Could change though as more teams fall out of any sort of race. I think we will have to be patient on this front though.

Too soon to pass judgement on Schoonmaker. Schultz did nothing his rookie year too. Plus, Schoonmaker missed most of training camp so he has some catching up to do. I wasn't a fan of the pick but he needs more time to prove he is a bust. And he is not like Joseph and Williams. They have the physical tools just not the football smarts. Schoonmaker might be the opposite. Still he deserves a chance.

The fact that the Cowboys keep using 2nd round picks on risky player tells me it must be intentional. They are willing to bet the pick on a player at that point. They've been wrong a lot but I supposed if they find a 2nd round talent that shakes off his reputation and plays like a first round pick they think the risk is worth it. They have won 12 games for 2 consecutive seasons, and they are not bad this year, so maybe they are right.

But yeah, why bet a pick when you can trade it for an established player.

Possibly. Josey Jewell is a pretty good one who is a smaller/faster LB could fit with what DQ likes to do. I'll be interested to see if Bell can keep up what he did Monday night and how LVEs recovery goes. LB could be a huge need or a non issue by the end of the month.

We need to jump on it now before it gets too late
