I think we stay at 4 and take Ramsey..................not the move I would make, but I think that is the way they are going after listening to the rumblings going on around the Internet.

The first sign of this happening will be if we sign RG3...................hearing that if we sign RG3 we are not going to go QB at 4.

I agree with this and can only say Yikes. I hope it woks out, but I dread when Romo goes down next year. Every time he gets hit Cowboy nation will hold its collective breath.

the problem with trading back is finding a partner...the more desperate, the better....

Unfortunately it works the other way too. Even though it worked out for Fred Beard this board was furious at how little we got in return.

I've been saying trade down also, because mid round 1 through early 3 has tons of "meat on the bone" as far as talent and potential. This is the sweet spot of this draft and would like to have as many picks as possible in this area.

I'm not moving unless someone blows my socks off. There are 4 studs in this draft IMO....Jack, Bosa, Lynch and Stanley. I'm getting one of those.;)

Interesting, Stanley over Tunsil? Also doubt Lynch is the top QB.

I do like Bosa and Jack but neither look to be a franchise caliber DL or LB. Good players not likely cornerstone 'must have' players.

As I continue to look at the top prospects in the first round, the more I am on the side that we should attempt to trade back in the draft. This is by no means me saying that I would be disappointed if we don't, there are some quality prospects in the top 5. I am just not seeing a "Can't miss" prospect. So, looking at teams we could trade with.

The benefit that comes with this years 4th round pick is, I'm almost positive a team with a QB need immediately will value that spot. We will have the leverage here, especially if one of these teams value the top QB prospects highly.

The first would obviously be San Fran, I'm not entirely sure if San Fran would be willing to trade up since the top QBs wouldn't be in danger of being drafted with Jags and Ravens having the 5th and 6th picks in the draft. But San Fran may worry that by not offering a trade, we may draft a QB ourselves. At that point, two of the best QB prospects will have been taken (The other being taken by the Browns)

I would not be surprised if we got some offers from teams outside of the top 10, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, and Los Angeles Rams are all in need of QBs. The ideal situation would be for the Bears to offer us a trade, they are not only in need of a QB, but a pass rusher as well. Moving back from 4 to 11, while picking up an extra second would still put us in a spot to grab a top prospect in the first while addressing two needs in the second (RB, WR, DT, LB, or CB)

Should be an interesting first day in the draft. I'm excited to see how it all goes down.

Usually this happens before the combine, then the top picks glare out more clearly.
