Normally i'm not a fan at all of moving down but I think this could be the smartest move for us. Based on how the draft will likely play out. KJ/GURLEY/MALCOM BROWN all gone in this scenario. IMO our offense is loaded just need solid RB/Oline depth. I would be really excited about our Defense. Flame away...

Rd 2 (7) CB - P.J. Williams - Florida State
R2 (28) FS - Damarious Randall - Arizona State
Rd 3 (7) DT - Grady Jarrett - Clemson
Rd 3 (27) RB - Mike Davs/ T.J. Yeldon
Rd 4 (28) LB - Ben Heeney - Kansas
Rd 5 (27) OT - Rob Havenstein - Wisconsin
Rd 7 (19) OG - Mark Glowinski - West Virginia
Rd 7 (26) DE - Frank Clarke - Michigan

Waiting till the 3rd round to get a RB is risky, I would really prefer a RB no later than pick 60. I just don't trust McFadden and company to handle the load. Ideally, I would prefer either Coleman or the Boise kid at pick 60, but the rest of your mock looks pretty good.

Thanks.... Was thinking the same thing but this is the deepest RB class I can remember, and I love the top 3 picks. I really like Coleman if he's there RD 2 but we need to get a CB bad, I personally don't trust Carr.

I don't think RB in the 3rd or 4th is all that risky in this draft. There are going to be good players still available at that point. I'd much prefer we add two defensive starters in rounds 1 and 2.

In a RB packed draft and also a lot of teams are not exactly desperate at RB I'd say.. I would think the 3rd and 4th will still have good talent available. 75% of the teams have more glaring needs than RB fortunately for us.

Who would be your targets? I like Buck Allen and Yeldon a lot. Heard a lot of good things about Davis on the board.

Solid draft.

I'm not a fan of Havenstein.

You always hear about deep RB classes ... 2008 was oh so deep on the surface. But at the end of the day you end up with Darren McFadden, Jonathan Stewart, Felix Jones, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, and Ray Rice in the first two rounds. Then Jamaal Charles sandwiched between 4 guys who didn't stick around very long.

Deep RB class really means that you'll likely see one team hit the jackpot on a guy picked later ... and a lot of teams wishing they took that guy over the loser they liked better

If Gurley falls to 27 draft him, otherwise you end up in the predicament that your runner walks after a nice 2-4 year run.

I think Gurley is a stud. These later round guys ... that's just all about people doing mocks and trying to look smart with the "trade back" angle.

I have no idea why people are worried about an ACL. In the NFL I think ACLs are almost routine. From what I know the ACL is not the problem its the mental aspect and a change in mechanics that can cause problems.

I get what your trying too say but CJ, Charles, Ray, Matt Forte were all really good. RB's don't last many seasons in the new NFL. DMC and Felix would have been solid pro's if healthy too imo. I really think Gurley will be gone, after that i'd want Coleman but him at 27 when you can get a comparable back 2 rounds later seems like bad logic.

It's not about looking smart lol, the highest rated players on our board most likely aren't positions we need. Gurley is a transcendent talent we have too trade up too get him imo.

Would have been solid pros? Geez, Trent Richardson would have been a solid pro ... if he didn't suck.

Yes, there were good backs on this list but there were also huge misses

I really like Williams and Jarrett. Both are very solid picks.

Randall I like, but I'd probably rather take Eric Rowe as a FS prospect if he was there. I might would go RB at 60, depending on who was there.

Davis is growing on me and Heeney is a solid enough LB prospect for the 4th round.

Havenstein is not one of my favorites. I don't think he fits with what Dallas likes to do on their OL.

Frank Clark is a favorite late round pick of mine... particularly since his charges of assault and domestic violence have been reduced down to disorderly conduct. The problem is with that being reduced he will likely go before the 7th round now... and even if he doesn't, someone who picks before Dallas in the 7th will have the same idea of taking him in the last round and giving him a shot.

With no 6th, it looks like Dallas might would have to use their 5th on him at the latest.

I like them.

Really like the trading down idea to have 2 second and 2 thirds. Lots of talents in 2-4 th rounds.

i really like some of those players but in all honesty i think Randall goes by pick 40, jarrett goes round 2 and clarke in round 4, but if it fell this way i would be like a kid on xmas morning
