Trading up to 8

I saw a mock that had Dallas moving up to the saints pick (8) and taking Bain.

New Orleans is strongly looking at WR’s with their first pick, and the teams at 9, 10, and 11 are mostly looking at defensive players. So, there is a good chance that if NO wants a WR at 8, that’s same WR likely will still be there at 12. So it made sense for the Saints.

Dallas got:

Pick 8 - Bain
Pick 42
Pick 73

Saints got:
Pick 12
Pick 20

I’m not sure I’d do it, but I don’t hate it. There will still be some good players there at 42 and 73 (and 92 that they got for Osa).

And of course I’m a big Bain fan, so I love that about the trade.
Saints are most likely going to lose Cam Jordan. Even if they figure out the cluster with his contract he's 35.
Receivers look pretty on mocks but for that team to win anything it's going to be rushing, ball control and defense.
Not Shough slinging the ball around to rookie WRs.
If Bain falls to 8 I think they'll have Usain Bolt run the card to the podium.

Miami has Jalen Tolbert penciled in as their #1 receiver.
I'm guessing it's in strong play.

Oline has to be in play for the Bengals to at least some extent.
And they a lot of their defensive holes in free agency!

Idk the only player I would trade up to 9 for is probably Bailey. If he falls that far.

All that matter's is that PARKER get's who he wants. If the section of the fanbase are looking at 'having to win now with Dak' and rightly acknowledge we need a big upgrade on Defense, we need to get CP the man he wants, be it (Styles, Downs, Bailey, Bain or Delane), to help the systems he's playing.

This is it. We can debate all we want about positional value, BPA, “reaching”, the amount of picks we have per round, and goodness knows what else.

But the bottom line will be: come the start of the season, does our DC have what he feels he needs?

Just wait and a player will fall to 12.
Yes, 'A' player, but as Parker has a specific scheme, why not, rather than gamble.......we move up to get THE player. This is the argument, if Parker knows the player he wants (and he's feasibly gettable), we move up to get him.
Its better to have a choice, than take whats left. Alternatively, Parker may have no preference (or even accept Terrell over McCoy/Delane who're probably the two available at 12).....and want to trade back (as he's got his eye on Rd 2 players he cant get at the moment).
The point is, Parker should have the say, support what he wants (if we are looking at the Dak Years).

Really hope we don't trade either pick and this draft will go perfect!
As said above......this draft and our needs dont marry up with HOPE. Id prefer we back our DC to provide and improve a league worst Defense and that may well require trading picks (Up and/or Down).
