I'm not seeing a training camp date thread anywhere, so I'll start this one.

Looking at the Alamo Dome event calendar, training camp will be: July 30 - August 22nd.

http://www.alamodome.com/events16.htm

EDIT: I guess I forgot to paste dates. I personally hate it when somebody just throws up a link.

For you training camp vets, now that the dates are released, what would you say is the best couple of days to go as a fan??

Weekday morning practices............evening practices are usually walk throughs, especially with Wade's no contact policy.

well I have been to many training camps at the alamodome to see the boys here's my suggestions:

1. avoid the weekends
2. if your out of town don't stay near the river hotels unless you want to pay high fees, stay with friends if possible.
3. go see the morning practice, hey you already have 10 dollar parking go under highway 37 and go eat at hooters or "the countyline" my favorite bbq restaurant on the river, check out the alamo (always great) relax at the rivercenter and checkout the afternoon practice.
4. Get there early if you want to get autographs on your caps and such get near the railings, the place to be is near the "main security" you'll know where that's at once you get in there.

There's plenty of seating but if you want to get great pictures and auto graphs you have to get there early.

Try to see the opening its great there's alot of fanfare and high optimism, which is always positive. The only thing I hate about training camp this year is seeing Wade on the sidelines *pukes.
