the challenge with this group is that none of the top 3 are any good in pass protection. granted I haven't seen Davis or Deuce, but chances are they will struggle as its one of the toughest things to learn for RBs in NFL.
I agree with you.

But Ronald Jones has been notoriously known for being terrible at pass protection as well.

At times last year the Oline was not good. But the problem for you and your hero ZEke is that Pollard still managed to average 5.5 ypc for the year and your pathetic hero Zeke could only mister 3.8. They ran behind the same line in the same offense. Something you cant deny or slither away from.

OUCH!!!!

"double standards"? Like the one you have for your hero Zeke and the one you have for Pollard? :lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

Did you hero get a job yet? I hear the GREAT Zeke went to visit New England? The demand for you top 5 back services is overwhelming!! :lmao2::lmao::lmao:
Comical childish response as usual. And over use of emojis. Do you feel better now?

Zeke was averaging over 4.5 yards as well until his injury. However you can’t admit to anything just like your hero Dak. You use double standards. You can’t stand anything nor admit to anything positive about Zeke. But turn around and
Jump on fans for any criticism on Dak, even if constructive criticism.

Oh wow, Zeke has not signed with any team yet. Is that your great saving grace. He is in a great position right now. He can wait out the rigors of TC and wait for everything to come to him.

Yeah I agree some good players wore it but it’s not 88 or 22 or one of those numbers. Man looking at that list brings back memories. We’ve come a long way from McGarity being a starting WR. I’d say the best on that list is Twill and Glenn.
I would take Kelvin over Twill

My biggest fear is the FO did nothing to address the RB position. If pollard goes down we’re in trouble

I am not a fan of Ronald Jones. I think that was just a back up plan, pending evaluation of Davis and Dowdle in preseason.

With all due respect, I dont see much in the way of teams coming to Zeke. He may get a bite but he isnt in a great position . He will take whatever crumbs may be pushed his way.

In fairness there have been some reports that he looks slow at times off the ball.

I am interested to see what kind of game action he gets in preseason. He’s an important cog this year.
Snap anticipation was one of his weaknesses, I believe. We'll see if Quinn is able to improve it.

Signing a veteran and drafting one isn't nothing. They like Davis and Rico. We will see how it goes. It looks like the new offense will have a lot of short quick passes to the backs.

I would put Martin up there as well. If you add in his punt return ability.
He did catch a key TD is the 1992 NFCCG at SF. After Harper's long run after the catch late in the 4th quarter. About 4 minutes left.
That was a money catch and he squeezed it in and broke the plain and sealed the win. Kmart was good

Again I’m saying they are in trouble if pollard goes down lol

Romo brought the best out of Twill but when Romo retired Williams was ineffective. So I agree, Kmart was better overall
I’m biased because as the poste above that talks about his game clinching TD against SF. But also his punt return against WFT. TWill’s toe tap swag against Seattle was epic. And that is one of my favorite wins.

One of my top 5 favorite plays of all time with the Cowboys is in 2014 against the Texans. Romo spun out of a sure sack from Watt and scrambled and hit TWill for a TD. I love that play. Watt said the one QB he always wanted to sack but couldn’t was Romo and he mentioned that play. Williams made a great jump catch in the end zone. TWill had the QB scramble down, he knew how to get open and help the QB when the QB was out of the pocket.

IMO, that’s been the plan all along.

RJ does not play special teams. So you’re going to get

1) Pollard
2) Davis
3) Deuce (Special teams)
4) Dowdle ( Special teams)
5) Leupke (Special teams)

I think a lot of people forget that Dowdle was Davis before the injuries. Tough runner, showed flashes. Just has always been injured. He was also one of our best special teamers when active.

He allows you to move on from a guy like Goodwin, Joseph etc.

Duece wont make this team on special teams.

Hes either the backup - which he wont
OR hes simply a gadget guy that maybe gets 3-4 snaps a game. Wasted roster spot.

Hes not replacing Turpin.

Luepke offers far more value at RB3.

As Ive said all along, Duece to the PS is the best he can hope for.
