Has anyone heard anything about him returning when he is eligible? Or any information at all on his recovery?

It’s really up to him. When he can practice and is up to full power he will be ready. If this year it will be towards the end. I expect and healthy 2019. They really didn’t know and I don’t think he knows either. One of those things that a doctor can’t tell. Just do the treatments which I think is really just a blast of vitamin IVs. Rest and work out as much as you can. Not really familiar with it but that’s kind of what I understand. I am just glad for him personally that he was in a position and place in life where he gets the best treatment and doctors available.

But I have heard 0 from or about him. For all we know he may be close. His return will make a huge splash on the team and in the NFL.

I recently read that he was slowly improving. When they didn't put him on IR at the beginning of the regular season, I thought they must have had intel that led them to believe he could/would return within 6 weeks. Now, I would be utterly shocked if he returns at any point this season. They're probably better off giving him the entire year to recuperate, regardless.

Haven’t heard and I’d be shocked if he returned this season. He’s going to need several weeks to regain his strength and conditioning. I’m hoping he makes a full recovery and returns next season.

I think HK is right about this. Mark S went through this. Looney is playing good, this FO has made mistakes by forcing players to come back early. I personally think its best to let it go this season. We re still out of it, thats not going to change. Let TF take care of business and see where hes at next season.

They put him on IR a few weeks ago knowing there was going to be a long spell of uncertainty about when he can return. It's too soon to know any different.

Wanna bet? He will not be back this year. It took Mark schelereth a year and a half to come back.
I would bet we will start to here him practicing and getting ready next TC. This year is a stretch but I won’t rule it out. What are we betting?

Schlereth's disease had progressed to the point that he was paralyzed before he got diagnosed. Frederick's case was caught far earlier and all indications are the early detection leads to a much quicker recovery.

Note: That is a summary of nearly everything written on this topic.

Every illness for every person is not the same. Schlereth's illness has been reported to have been more advanced. That said, I seriously doubt he will come back this year. He won't even be available until late in the season anyway. The only chance is if the team makes the playoffs he recovers more quickly than expected and has time to get back in playing shape, but both of those things are very questionable.
