Ah I didn't see this before my post above. They play different positions, already have a log jam at the 3
Really believe that 1 dominate player inside is the key to finally having a legitimate defense, onw without many weakness at all. Certainly, could upgrade Lve/Hooker, but there ok in their roles.Ah I didn't see this before my post above.
I just don't see them doing this the way they operate.
They dont value DT and get gashed in the run game in the playoffs repeatedly.....and still don't value DT.
They need a stud there by accident....and they are difficult to find when you're actually trying.
I'm on the trade down a bit, pick up an extra third, and then take Jones and then Kinnard at 56. The best WR/TE/Edge with our two picks in the 3rd and pick in the 4th.
With those two giants in the middle, we are suddenly much bigger and stronger up the middle.
Fun, but not realistic. We be lucky enough to trade down once.THIS^^^
Trade down between 27-30 for high 3rd/late 2nd.
Trade down again to top of 2nd + 3rd.
Draft:
2a - OL Tyler Smith
2b - NT Travis Jones
3a - ED Sam Williams
3b - LB Leo Chenal
3c - WR Christian Watson or TE Jelani Woods

I think he goes in the 30-40 range, would be doing backflips if he was the pick at 56!
Where have Durde working out Jones? We know our DL coach went up to Conn. to personally work out Travis Jones. He absolutely dominated in the senior bowl practices and in the actual game against all competition. He is more then just a 2 down run player, where some believe he can play multiple techniques. He is being compared to Chris Jones from the Chiefs. We all have been screaming for a player like this, why not take him at 24?
It was reported he went to work him out in conn.Where have Durde working out Jones?
I haven't been able to find anythingIt was reported he went to work him out in conn.
Broaddus talked about it a few weeks ago.I haven't been able to find anything
Not happy! And how will you feel if he's there and Dallas passes on him?
Why? Because he would've fattened up on the weakest conference in college football the ACC?I'd take him at 24. But then again I don't go off of expert's opinion and I know for a fact if he went to Clemson he'd be hyped top 20.
Ok. Alabama. Why? Because he would've fattened up on the weakest conference in college football the ACC?
3 of those teams don't have a 2nd round pick either.We'll see.
Lots of teams without 1st rounders in this draft.
Unusual amount actually.

He destroyed everybody he faced in 1-on-1 drills at the Senior Bowl. Zion was the only OL with any success against him, and he tossed Zion to the ground on 1 rep.I really wish I had some tape on Jones playing against the SEC. I like both of these players very much, but would take Davis because I have seen the tape on him playing against SEC competition.
Jones may very well be better, but I am fairly certain Davis would provide the Cowboys with what they really need on the DLine.
With that said, I doubt Dallas takes either of them.
Winfrey is 3-tech only.I like Winfrey over Jones.
