Carolina cut him and I think he would be a great pickup to add to our secondary. Much rather have him over blanton, let all them fight it out at camp. Would be huge to get him

I'm sure not every "released" CB fits out scheme. If McClay likes him and he's not scooped up, they may kick the tires.
We have a full CB room now with all those draft picks coming in so it might be too late for him to interest Dallas.

I'd be interested. I was asking a buddy of mine why he thought they let him go and he say's it's because he is more of a zone safety and the Panthers are moving away from that style of defense. The Cowboys are moving towards zone, so it would make sense that at 24, Tre could be an excellent fit here.

My thoughts exactly. Dude can track the ball well for a safety and isn't afraid to hit. Has superbowl experience and a 4 year starter. Has speed as well that is deceptive and takes good angles. Could possible win the starting job first week

I don't have a need to rush out and sign him. He's roster fodder.

I think there are already six safeties for 4-5 spots. That's not to mention the possibility of Awuzie sliding over (although I'd rather see Cheeto exclusively at CB for the time being).

Boston would make Blanton expendable day 1.

Jones, Boston, Woods, Heath, Frazier

Much better then with Blanton

He would be best safety on the roster day 1

Based on what? The fact he's a UNC kid and you seem to slobber over UNC kids?

He wasn't very good in his three years at Carolina. Was wildly inconsistent. Carolina even tried to trade him during the draft and no one would even sniff him. He could never secure a full time starting job including losing his starting gig in 2016 to Michael Griffin as well as losing his starting gig to Kurt Coleman in 2015. The Panthers thought so little of him that they brought in Mike Adams, a 13-year vet, to take over at S this season.

He's roster fodder plain and simple. He's basically just a younger version of Blanton.
