He lost his job last year, but I think they were expecting a lot of our him. Not ideal, but neither is Blanton.

But having a veteran will be important. This secondary is going to be very very young.

Boston went to North Carolina. This thread makes a lot more sense now.

You're the same guy that said he'd take Switzer in the first round.
Thanks for figuring that out! I was wondering why there was such a man crush

Boston would make Blanton expendable day 1.

Jones, Boston, Woods, Heath, Frazier

Much better then with Blanton

Why do you say this? Blanton is a really good STs player. Is it your intention, should we sign Boston, to play special teams? If he is the starter, for example, does it make sense to have Boston play ST?

Can Heath, Frazier or Woods not play special teams

Here's the bottom line.

Boston is a dime a dozen player at this point. He's done nothing to date in his career to suggest that we have to run out there and grab him fast and dump Blanton.

As well or just play? I imagine they can. On the other hand, they can also start and maybe there is no need to sign Boston. Those double edges can get you every time.

Isn't one of the McCourty twins available? Would rather look at him. Pryor from the Jets will probably be available soon too.

They maybe could start but the question is do you want a guy that we know can start and play well against a guy that plays special teams? Arguing for a special teamer against a starting safety is like the 09 special teams draft

Well again, why does it have to be one or the other? I mean, Boston aint gonna play ST the way Blanton is IMO and he's gonna cost a lot more, I'd bet.

Haha OK sure dude.

If you want to continue this silly debate you got me. I much rather have nobody at SS with extensive starting experience instead of going with a known in Boston and let them battle it out. It makes much more sense to also keep a special team player over a starter as well

Tre Boston? The guy that lost his job in a secondary starting two rookies and just got cut to make room for the 36 year old that took his job? we know he can start and play well? If that's the case, why'd Carolina boot him the first chance they got?

Wow. It's like you don't get it at all. You are the one who is making this either or. I am saying, it doesn't have to be that way.

Come out of the cold dude. Smell the coffee, it's a lot warmer in here then out there.

2 rookies that played corner not safety. He is a zone guy, by the way Carolina let's players like Peppers,Smith and Ealy get away. Doesn't mean he can't play
