About this time last year, Heisman speculation centered on the 2009 winner, running back Mark Ingram of Alabama, and a slew of quarterbacks including Arkansas’ Ryan Mallett, Boise State’s Kellen Moore, Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor, Houston’s Case Keenum, Washington’s Jake Locker, and Luck.

Last December, only Luck, Moore, and Mallett were in the top 10.

Luck has been the Heisman favorite for 2011 since Jan. 6, the day he said he was committed to earning his degree in architectural design and that he was passing on the NFL draft. Until then, he had been considered the likely No. 1 pick by the Carolina Panthers.

I don't understand why he'd be a darkhorse, the article basically says he should be one of the top 3 guys, and he should.

Gotta be Luck unless Stanford has a terrible year.

not really. He doesnt put up ridiculous insane stats so it wouldnt surpsie me in the least if he doesnt get it. The heisman imo is a farce anyway.

BTW Luck will be better than any of Bradford, Ryan, Flacco or any guy to come out in the past ten years. he is so far advanced of any other college qb its scary.
