I would let him walk. when he was aggressive and getting Ints, he was giving up a lot of big plays and yards. he stopped being aggresive was decent in coverage but he doesn't tackle. he whiffs. he tackles like its flag football. it would be a mistake to give him a large contract. be smart. let him walk. take the 3rd round pick that comes with it.
I agree. Well stated. I thought we had a huge star on our hands after 2021, but don't see that now. He's here next year, see if he gets his ballhawk abilities back - but they shouldn't give him a big $ long term deal. If he does he should fetch a nice return in a trade. If he doesn't, all this picks from 2021 should still fetch a decent return. They didn't give Byron Jones the big contract and he was a shutdown corner, Diggs is not.

He has un-followed the Cowboys on IG so I'm guessing contract talks have begun on his part. With that in mind what would you pay a corner like him?
He doesn't like to tackle and makes way too many business decisions. Let him get the big contract from some other unsuspecting team. We'll save money and get a
draft pick to boot.

Boy the people here have soured on him fast.
I think he is a good player...but he is not Micah.

I bet people though we were crazy to trade Herschel Walker....am I am not suggesting we would get a haul for Diggs like we got for Walker. But unless giving him 150m makes you better than saving 150m and getting a stud DL...then you bring in the stud DL

Dallas has been sitting out of free agency to pay guys like Lamb, Micah and Diggs. I don't think you can pay all three top 3 money for their position. I would keep 2 and trade 1. That 1 would be Diggs.

Cowboys "stars" treat rookie contracts like toiler paper. It is all because our moron Owner wants to be best friends with whoever sells the most jerseys. It is toxic on so many levels. Make him play it out then franchise tag him or trade him away. His effort in the playoffs was nothing more than pathetic. I called his hold out the minute I saw him play against Tampa. After watching him against San Fran it was obvious he was just waiting for the season to end. If you think you can win with this type of human on your team you are dreaming.

Just trade him
How hard is that
For us? I have zero confidence Jerry or son can figure out a way to unload him without giving him away like Amari Cooper. These kinds of deals are where not having a Howie Roseman or John Lynch in the front office comes back to bite us.
