Sit him down this offseason.....showcase the questionable tackling....and them ask him why? If he say's "that was a business decision".....then get on the phone. Truthfully, he will have to work on that....but it's really simple.....an effort change.

That doesn't work any longer in the modern NFL. He will just hold out until you pay him or allow him to leave. If you want him, Jerry will have to pay the going rate for top CB's. There is no middle ground with today's players unless they are old and looking for one last payday.

....then he would be doing similarly to Zeke?.....or Dak in regards to market value? Or what any NFL player might do, being in the same situation? But this may mean Diggs will become a Fall Guy nominee too, on this board.

That would be horrible
The whole idea is to get a reasonably good CB cheaper and you that by trading Diggs for a rd 1 pick so you have a cheap good CB for 5 years not an old CB for 1 year
How is it horrible to get one of the best cornerbacks at a reasonable salary once the Rams have to pay all the bonus money? Even if you can flip Diggs for a 1 who said that rookie corner is going to start, leaving Bland as the only returning starter from last year.

Lewis will be back as well. The Corner position in round 1 is deep this year.

Wow, reading all these replies from people who want to move him.
To me at least, he is a cornerstone player for now and for the future.
No need to extend him now either, but we can certainly hold preliminary talks.
He's under contract next season and we can tag him if we choose the year after that.
It's actually set up pretty well for us in the sense that Diggs will come up first (even though he and Lamb were drafted the same year, We have a 5th year option on Lamb as he was a first rounder). We also have that on Micah who will come up a year later.
Going to cost some HUGE money to keep them, but they are all amongst the top of their positions, and they are all young. They are the kind of players you build around. The cap is not a static thing, it increases over time, especially now we are in a huge growth period for league revenues and for the cap. We'll see a 300 mil cap in a few years.
He will likely set the bar for his position when he signs. As will Lamb and Parsons.
Hopefully, all 3 are Cowboys for many years.
We can sign Diggs first, then Lamb a year later and POarsons a year after that.
By the time all that happens, Dak will likely be gone, as will DLaw and Martin's deals.

Zeke will have to take a giant paycut or be a June 1st cut. For sure!

True about Zeke....but I was referrring to when the money was on the table for Zeke......when no one said the man was overperforming on the rookie contract.....we don't do that as fans.....we want more. Message to Diggs.....money coming!!....but.........need I write more?

am in on trade him, It would be easy to be able to trade him for a first round and maybe more, and it is an opportunity that the cowboys have to take advantage of, if the cowboys make the right moves in terms of the cap, they could easily get a good CB in free agency and others via draft

I don't know the number for Masochists Anonymous, but do think it should be shared here.
