I just read this tidbit in this article.

“ Lance is only about seven months older than Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. He's a day younger than Atlanta's Michael Penix and two months or so younger than Bo Nix in Denver.”

I’ve been on the fence about writing him off but this certainly puts things in perspective. Add this to the Darnold resurrection and we sometimes can be too quick to sunset these guys.

He needs a lot of game time experience to really know what he is. I wish there was a G league equivalent for the NFL. Just musing, but I wonder what the precedence is of a team loaning a player to the UFL during the summer.

I do think playing in the UFL would be the best thing for Lance's career. If I was him, I wouldn't sign with an NFL team. I'd go to the UFL for playing time and bet on myself.

I’ve said this since pre season . He needs playing time . Playing him once while Dak was out was beyond dumb. If he hits Dowdle in the end zone after extending the play ….

He’s a free agent in March 12. He is free to sign with a UFL team.

Why go to the minor leagues ? He could get injured . Stay in the NFL no Qb lasts 17 games eventually the team you sign with will put you in .

You know all the time he was behind Rush I never heard complaints or bad attitude . He seems like a good team player I wish him luck .
PT! Real game experience is what he needs more than anything else at this point.

The Cowboys are not going to let him walk, after giving up a 4th round pick and thinking he has potential (even if they might be deluding themselves).
In the next 64 days I doubt Trance is a priority to get signed. Of course, no team in the league will have any interest in him, so no urgency in even talking to him. Acquiring him was a mistake. A giant one by the 49ers. A small one by the Cowboys.
