Trey Wingo podcast: Did Dallas win the Micah a Parsons trade?

The entire who won the trade thing does nothing for anyone.
Oh yes it does. It does for Micah haters, Jerry bootlickers on the support side and Jerry haters, hope-we-lose-the-trade-to-spite-Jerry people on the against side. With all the good things the Cowboys players do versus the good things Micah does, we'll get threads on this for years. Think of them as Dak homer-hater threads, but less frequent. The most Solomon-esque thing to happen for justice's sake is for the Jets to win the whole trade with their picks they get out of this. Lol.

Dallas fans will say they won.

Most NFL fans are in the middle.

GB fans think they won.

What if Malachi Lawrence ends up sucking complete buttcheek, do we still win?
Quinnen for Micah straight up is easily a Dallas win.

Quinnen and Clark for Micah is a slam dunk.

Quinnen, Clark, and Lawrence is running up the score if Malakai can be just average.

Quinnen, Clark, Lawrence, and a first-rounder in 2027 is running up the score.

I was tired of Micah's nonsense long before they let him go. He was all first-quarter, first-half-of-the-season flash. He rarely did anything in crunch time because he would exhaust himself emotionally in the first half. Late in the year, he was missing in action almost entirely. And if you ran right at him, he's a speed bump.

I have never liked one-dimensional players, and he's the definition of that.

Walker trade.

Minnesota 10-6
Dallas- 1-15
Oh so its the Walker trade now?

I did not know we were putting a team together from scratch.

You guys should have told me ....... All I have been hearing the last few years is how much veteran talent we have.

You should hang up now.

It was the right move.

Would trade again.
I would have traded a 1st, 2nd and Mazi to the Jets for Quinnen and kept Parsons, but I'm strange that way. I actually like having a top DT and a top DE on the same team.

You didn't give any detail, just records. I'm thinking if it was 1990, that's what you would have posted, right?

Quinnen, Clark, Lawrence, and a first-rounder in 2027 is running up the score.
And inaccurate. It doesn't take into account that we lost a second-rounder this year and next year's first-rounder is the worst of the two picks (either ours or Green Bay's).

So it's Quinnen, Clark, Lawrence minus whoever we could have gotten in the second this year.

No no ....... it is just like the Walker trade ....... good job

You "this team is different guys" have convinced me.

It’s hard to judge this early on but in general, unless you are trading for a QB, you always lose these trades when you give up huge draft capital. So yeah, probably the Packers lose this trade.

Yes, Dallas won the trade a year later. I was an advocate of trading Parsons I just thought the timing was poor. I predicted Parsons would suffer a major injury in his 2nd contract as he is an undersized speed rusher with durability concerns.
