Just look at the Romo OWI situation. People are propping up all the other ways people cause crashes from behind the wheel to diminish the possibility Romo was driving while intoxicated.

The bigger story is CBS was looking for a way to get out of his current contract.

Exactly right. A big contract and a first rounder. Would have been Mazi and Osa inside.

Sounds a lot like the OT situation. The equivalent would be like trading Lamb for an elite LT and a very good RT. Are they better that way? Maybe. Never gonna come remotely close to happening, but just saying.

Since we get the lower of the two firsts next year, that also affects the quality of our compensation. Say we finish 25th in the draft order and Green Bay 12th or vice versa, the Jets get the higher pick and that can be quite a difference.

There is great reason for hope that the defense will be significantly improved.

That alone makes me excited to watch this season.

I don’t care anything about his podcast. Never watched one and ignore outside noise .

And he wasn’t a distraction until Jethro disrespected him in contract negotiations.

that explains it you never watched how wheels off he was in his podcasting.. he was obviously sucked into his career as a podcaster and was a diva and distraction by doing that at that extent... Jones offered him a decent deal, or a deal that he was worth, jones was right 1000% in his dealings... Like I said, me personally, I thought he was the wrong type of guy as a person based on all the outside stuff... It really got under my skin that he was spending so much time doing that stuff and getting hurt and falling asleep at the wheel.. Q is awesome, what a great uplifting teammate..

24 they were 21st
25 they were second

And yes Dak isn’t always healthy which is why I don’t get using his injury as an excuse for going 7-10 with Micah as if Dak can’t get hurt again.

The Jets will get a mid tier pick in a strong draft, but they'll use it to move up and get a QB. Dallas will pick 26th and take a Tackle.

The Packers will be sad when they realize the window is pretty much over and they're chained to a Parsons who never returns to pre-ACL form.

There’s not a doubt in my mind that Green Bay regrets making this trade. None whatsoever.

They gave up 2 1st round picks and a Pro Bowl defensive tackle.

Less than a year later, Baltimore backed out of a similar deal with the Raiders for 2 1st round picks.

And on top of the cost, the player suffered a significant injury. An injury that he may or may not fully recover from.

Add to it that Green Bay is in what is arguably the toughest division in the league right now.

Not good.

So you believe a “ decent “ deal is acceptable for who was a perennial All Pro considered one of the best at his position?

That's how I feel, as well.

The Packers traded him to contend now. But they didn't contend last year, and they probably won't this year either. And if they do, will Micah really be the motivating factor? Probably not.

I always wanted to trade Parsons because it was always about diversifying investments, mitigating risks. Parsons is a risky player because what makes him special is ungodly speed/burst.

The Packers accepted that risk to capitalize on a window. It's going to slowly creep in for them this year that the window is probably closed now, and Parsons and his contract will actually be a hindrance to keeping it open.

Not saying that they shouldn't have made the move at the time; I just think it's not going to pan out despite their optimism right now.
