They play on different terms Coog Lol

Philly will send a 6th in 2029 and the titans give up Burks and a 2nd lol
I still don’t understand how Philadelphia got the Saints second round pick.

They really already have a lot of young depth at receiver. Burks is interesting because he was a 1st round talent and is over 220 pounds.
if WR doesn't work out for him, sure quinn could use him in Washington at MLB

The thing with Burks is his pre-draft testing numbers showed he was not explosive and that's been the case so far. But the Cowboys liked him coming out of Arkansas and he could be worth kicking the tires on.

I have also seen the videos on YouTube saying the Cowboys could send a 5th to Tennessee for Burks. And why not? Current projections have the Cowboys at ten picks in next year's draft: a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, up to four 5ths (their own and four comps) and two 6ths (their own and a comp). They currently lack a 7th which goes to the Lions to complete this year's round one trade down.

I have interest and mentioned him in another post. I think he might shine as a no 3 option and a non focus point of opposing defenses. He offers something we don’t currently have on the roster Big bodied Debo Samuels type of receiver. I see him in the slot catching short passes breaking a tackle and gaining big chunks.

Not trying to say your wrong, but teams can only get a total of 4 comp picks. Last projection I saw was three 5ths and one 6th. But I totally get and agree with your point!

Zero. Total bust. I’d rather give those snaps to the young guys

We have plenty of projects at wr past cede and cooks. If trading for a wr I want an experienced vet- other wise wait til cuts and see what’s available- If they are even an upgrade. Sometimes you have to let your own players develop- aka Miles Austin

Tennessee Front Office: "Let's see if we can get a 7th for Burks or we may have to release him."

Tennessee intern: "Mr. Jones on line one."

Tennessee Front Office: " A 5th round pick you say? Okay, you drive a hard bargain."

Burks would be worth the gamble. New front office in Tennessee might very well be inclined to let Burks go for a 5th/ 6th round pick.
He's had some nagging injuries, but has shown some flashes of his talent, without good QB play.
He would give us a type of WR we do not have...6-2, 220 lbs.
Can play the x or y.
Strong hands and is physical after the catch.
He has a limited tree route and isn't overly explosive, but he could be a match up nightmare from the slot and in the redzone.
He would be a good fit in our Texas coast scheme. Alot of underneath and crossing routes...He would have nothing but one on one.

Funny but I expect he will be released.

Not opposed to bringing him for a visit but honestly am ok with WR room.

I had Burks pegged from before the draft. He had a bad body (poor conditioning) and that has been the rap on him in Tennessee. I’d still be interested taking a flyer on him but my contention at the time (2022 Draft) was that I didn’t want us using our 1st rounder on him.

I would at least call Tennessee and offer the latest fad trade offer of a 6th for Burks and a 7th, so they know they have that option before releasing him.

I know that would be work, and lazy Stephen dreads work.

Who do you think he beats out then if your giving up draft capital?

I think Lamb, Cooks, Tolbert, Brooks and Turpin are pretty much locks. Flournoy will be given some leeway as a draft pick, but could be just practice squad depending on what he shows. So if we keep six, it could be at the expense of the rookie. That doesn't take into account first-year players like Durden and Cropper, but they were probably PS bound already.
