I would be happy if they add more plays to take use of Dunbar in space , like run more screens and help Romo to dump the ball faster when opponents bring too many rush.

I don't necessarily want trick plays for the sake of having them. Rather I would like to show some more diversity in the plays to make defenses have to worry about the possibility they may be ran. For years it drove me crazy that we underutilized RBs as receivers. Defenses could drop back and not fear having to be concerned about RBs coming out of the backfield.

This was compounded by Tony virtually never running with the ball. He could move/scramble for time but wouldn't tuck the ball and easily/safely take a 7 yd gain. If he ran for just a couple of 1st downs or we used our RBs in the passing game more, it would have put so much more pressure on defenses and free up our WRs downfield.

can anyone remember the last time we ran a trick play?

flea flicker
halfback pass
fake punt
fake fg
surprise onside kick

does Garrett not have any of those in his offensive playbook?

we do not need to run any trick plays. we just need to continue to go out and execute the plays on offense. as someone posted earlier tricks are for kids. trick plays are for teams that know they are not good and does not know how to win

Great question!
I was wandering the same exact thing, especially when we went for it on 4th down against the Cardinals recently, I was at the game and as soon as they we got stopped I turned around and told my son -really?? geez so damn predictable!!
There has to be a little more back up plan or fail safe trickery.
I just don't get it ,why at times we can appear so predictable,
Oh well just another facet in our game that would transform a good team to a great team, play calling, taking more chances, less conservative.

I heard Harris has the best arm on the team. He can throw it farther than even Dez. He also played QB in HS.

They should run a jet sweep play with him and then have him chuck it to Dez or TWill.

The last real trick play I remember was Tony Romo backwards pass to Jason Witten who then passed to TO.

That wasn't a trick play. It was a right cock up that the three best players on the field somehow managed to salvage in what was an otherwise disastrous game.

I don't know about trick plays, but with teams stacking the box to stop Murray and Dez likely to draw double coverage, things are setting up for a play action bomb to Harris or Williams.

What about Romo's fake field goal attempt in Seattle?
