Bill Parcells, when he was asked about Texas players, he mentioned that they are soft. If I am not mistaken, he was talking about Quinton Jammer.

Seriously, how many bust come from Texas? Williams(Left Tackle) Chris Simms(Even though he wasn't drafted high), Ricky Williams(Never was as great of a player he was in college, plus a head case.) Jammer sucked until they got Merriman and stilll is questionable because S.D. would of never drafted Cason that high if they thought Jammer was all of that. Hell, the list goes on!

Ricky, Benson, VY the headcase..

Vasher is one of the only longhorns that has done his school proud.

What is funny is that to me Roy Williams WR is the perfect example of all that is wrong with the Cowboys from to bottom.

Roy Williams appears to have all the talent in the world, but in the end has produced very little. Underachiever...so far anyway (I am holding out hope for next year). Same for the rest of the team.

The coaches continue to force Roy Williams on us when clearly he Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton are much better at this point. Coaching blunders a plenty.

The GM appears to have overpaid big time for Roy Williams. The GM needs to get his act together.

As mentioned in prior posts, Roy Williams is and always will be a coach killer who has no desire to maximize his potential. He will always take the easy way out and never give maximum effort. The man is not a winner and never will be. He was the ring leader for a group of prima donnas at Texas who caused the Longhorns to play in big games much like the Cowboys did today. It's not a coincidence that the Horns rallied around a real leader the minute Williams graduated and went on to win back-to-back Rose Bowls. Sorry to break it to you, but if you think he will ever be more than he showed this season, you are dead wrong.

he is a loser and quitter..... just the type jerruh overpays for.

This is a crazy thread. And a knee jerk reaction thread. I think with a whole offseason in the Cowboys system, Roy Williams will be just fine. He has a lot of talent. He tailed off in Detroit but only after Calvin Johnson became what he is. If TO leaves in the next year or two and Williams is there, he would be a very good number one WR for the Cowboys.

You may think I'm crazy but this is how I see it.

That's what I've been trying to say-he needs an offseason to learn the playbook.

Sure there are other problems, but trust me when I say you do not want guys like Roy Williams on your team if you have hopes of winning championships. Many on this board still think it was a good trade and that Roy will become a top-shelf receiver, but they are sorely mistaken.

you're right! let's get Plaxico Buress!

I love being brilliant

I'm afraid we may have blown the pooch on this one

there are going to be some crazy good WRs declaring for the draft

we have Ray Sherman coaching WRs

Jerry's love for Roy may have consumed him

He will be available!

I heard we're signing Plax as the next head coach. he's already stated that whoever doesn't play well will get shot.

I agree.

Fans just don't understand how much "culture" plays into a team's psyche. How is it that the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins can turn it around in one year with "less than talented" teams compared to the Cowboys?

It's football "culture."

We bring in T.O.'s and Roy Williams and the Falcons and Dolphins get rid of DeAngelo Halls and Jason Taylors.

Sometimes, you have to purge your talent and get hurry players, players who do their job and don't seek fanfare.

I've said this before and I hope I'm wrong, but this team will go no where as long as we have T.O. Yes, T.O. is a great player, but he has contributed to a culture of selfishness on this squad that I believe runs very deep. But maybe the blame should go to Jerry Jones because he continues to acquire players who have questionable judgment and who are selfish.

Yes, they're talented, but talent can't overcome football character.

The Cowboys just don't have it. And unless Jerry Jones changes his philosophy, don't be surprise if we get more of the same.
