What is funny is that to me Roy Williams WR is the perfect example of all that is wrong with the Cowboys from to bottom.
Roy Williams appears to have all the talent in the world, but in the end has produced very little. Underachiever...so far anyway (I am holding out hope for next year). Same for the rest of the team.
The coaches continue to force Roy Williams on us when clearly he Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton are much better at this point. Coaching blunders a plenty.
The GM appears to have overpaid big time for Roy Williams. The GM needs to get his act together.
I agree.
Fans just don't understand how much "culture" plays into a team's psyche. How is it that the
Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins can turn it around in one year with "less than talented" teams compared to the Cowboys?
It's football "culture."
We bring in T.O.'s and Roy Williams and the Falcons and Dolphins get rid of DeAngelo Halls and Jason Taylors.
Sometimes, you have to purge your talent and get hurry players, players who do their job and don't seek fanfare.
I've said this before and I hope I'm wrong, but this team will go no where as long as we have T.O. Yes, T.O. is a great player, but he has contributed to a culture of selfishness on this squad that I believe runs very deep. But maybe the blame should go to Jerry Jones because he continues to acquire players who have questionable judgment and who are selfish.
Yes, they're talented, but talent can't overcome football character.
The Cowboys just don't have it. And unless Jerry Jones changes his philosophy, don't be surprise if we get more of the same.
