I'm beginning to have that same feeling I had back in the early 90s when I knew defenses could do nothing with our offense featuring Emmitt, Troy, and Michael.

Zeke, Dak, and Dez with that Oline...

Mark Tuinei, Erik Williams, Kevin Gogan, Nate Newton, and Mark Stepnoski... John Gesek to a lesser degree. The makeup of this offense reminds me so much of that early 90's juggernaut it's just scary.

There's nothing better than lining up in front of a guy with the knowledge that you are going to move him wherever you want him to go. The ground & pound of the early 90s is back folks! Isn't it beautiful?

Watching the post game interviews last night I said to my wife, the swagger we used to have with Jimmy Johnson is back. It's hard to believe that it's coming from rookies.

It's unreal. I can remember those Jimmy years as if they occurred yesterday and it is starting to feel similar. Obviously the head coach is much different but the level of confidence exuded by the players is there. I have to give Garrett a lot of credit for knowing his role and playing it well.

Yes many contributions. Even Escobar had some very good blocks. Free didn't get abused and get Dak killed.
We also had to overcome some very poor officiating on many obvious penalties yet again.

I wish I remembered the exact quote from John Madden during a game in the early 90's. It was something to the affect of " this Cowboys team just beats their opponents as they will." He meant that when they decided to win there was nothing another team could do about it. I don't think this year's team is quite there...but it's getting close. :)

I think it's there no one brings a bigger hammer to the table and demands so much attention.

Like Troy, Michael and Emmitt were hot in the 90s, Dak, Zeke and Dez are there to comprise a return of the Triplets in 2016. Another good thing about it is that they will most likely improve with the passage of time, since two of them are young rookies. Their future is very bright, indeed. :)

No question the current offense is as good as any Cowboys team. The 90's Cowboys had a #1 defense to go along with that offense. They didn't have any real weakness back then.
Strangely, I consider this offense even better because, like someone else said, that 90s offense had a top flight defense to compliment it. This offense is mostly doing it alone by playing ground & pound keep away.

Beasley should not be omitted from the discussion. He has been a huge part of the offense with his clutch catches at critical times.

I yelled that they were the new triplets when I saw the Dak to Dez clutch play, then Zeke in the end zone on the next play. Go, Cowboys!:flagwave:

Benefit of having a guy like Garrett...who was a part of the very fabric of those teams. What's really scary is that Dak...is just figuring out how to play the position. What we have travels, is sustainable and forces defenses in a pick your poison dilemma.

I am thrilled that they've put the pieces together to have a truly dominate, ground a pound, grind the defense up running game.

I'm so happy they got a guy like Zeke back there. It just makes it all that much better.

I agree the way Beasley is playing and being used he should be included, he keeps things rolling on this offense when the defense's decides to clamp down. I also think he is improving, his route running is awesome.

Hopefully this team skips mirroring the 1991 Cowboys, once the playoffs roll around.
