Troy: A complete overhaul of the organization needed

The really sad thing is, we could have had at least one SB win in the Romo era if Jerry would have relinquished just a bit of control to a real head coach over that time. Not even a great coach, just one who doesn't lose at least two games a season due to his inability to clock manage alone. Now, even if you get a decent coach, we may never see anyone with Romo's ability for another decade, much less the likes of an Aikman.

Jerry's a great owner, Jerry the GM is the real problem.

Any other GM that doesn't have blood ties would be worried about their job after all this failure.
I agree Jerry the owner has to takes his feeling out when evaluating his GM duties.
Problem is Jerry wearing all the 3 hats at the same time.

This sounds insane but my gut says we can still make the playoffs. You heard it here first. LOL

HOF QB Troy Aikman this morning on his weekly radio show on Dallas radio station “The Ticket”: “If this team is ever going to turn this around, a complete overhaul of the entire organization is needed. Not just head coach or a few players.”

We’re Finally starting to hear former Cowboys greats stop pretending that the Emperor has clothes. Troy is saying what most fans have been saying for years- there are no players, or even head coaching changes that can make a ship sail that has a huge gash in the hull created by this fool of an owner. A new coat of paint is not going to keep the Titanic from sinking. We hit an iceberg named Jerry years ago.

Note to my fellow fans who have screamed for a new head coach, a new QB, a new OC, a new OL coach, new receivers, etc, etc.: This won’t get better without changing HOW is organization is run. To quote our last SB QB, “a complete overhaul is needed.”
I wonder what Stephen Jones will have to say about this one.

The team has done well finding talent.

The issues are with the coaches.

Garrett is worthless ingame making adjustments.
Marinelli and Linehan both do little to adjust their schemes from year to year.
Linehan is really only able to showcase elite talent and feed it the ball. He cannot design/call plays that get his players separation.
And so forth.

The GM has drafted well; the coaches just need an all star team for their schemes to work.

While it’s nice to see this being broadcast it’s not breaking news for those of us who have followed more closely.

Unfortunately the likelihood of any changes coming from Jerry are remote so as usual onward thru the fog.

And why the bar has been lowered because the Dallas Cowboys football club isn’t on an even playing field with the rest of the league.

The only thing that separates us is our popularity , marketability and history. We have become nothing more than a Cultural Icon of a once great entity.
