Oh I hate Joe Buck with a passion. Every time I hear his name it reminds me of that nasty 4 letter word.

I can't hear him without thinking about his massive overreaction to the Randy Moss pantomimed mooning of the stupid cheese-headed GB fans who moon and pelt the Vikings busses with snowballs after every home game. Does everybody remember that, or is it just me?

ive never liked aikman calling games...he tries too hard to not sound biased and ends up being biased the opposite direction.

Does anyone remember how Aikman felt about the Cowboys during that 12-1 start in the 2007 season? How did it compare to now?

This is an honest question; I don't recall.

From what I recall, he was very upbeat.

I mean, that team was not the best in the league, but they certainly were one of the 3-4 best.

They started to wear down towards the end--especially the aging o-line. That's part of the reason they were told to stay away from Valley Ranch on the bye week.
But there would be no reason for anyone not to think they were really good.

I mean, after 6 games they certainly were better than this group. I'm hoping this group keeps getting better, while that one faded out.

Hard to blame him, going from three SBs in four years to 5-11. Nobody could like that.

Of course it's not hard to blame him or Troy for that matter, they played on three Super Bowl teams for them seeing what was wrong with this team and knowing really that they're not gonna do very well is probably frustrating for them.

Troy is a complete professional when it comes to calling games. He calls the teams and the games the way they are and there is nothing wrong with that. The only reason anyone even really gives him anything about it is because Michael Irvin is so over the top always all the time about the Cowboys.

Which, you'll notice, is a reason why he's a pre-game and post game guy and not calling games because he has no way to be unbias.

I don't remember him saying that. But I remember a lot of the media over-reacted to it. If he did Im not surprised.

I still can't forgive him saying that Witten might be selected to the HOF. Luckily, Troy was there to correct him and said he's going in 1st ballot.

LOL I just love Irvin. If he had a choice to take a billion dollar and give up on the Cowboys as his favorite team, or pass on the billion dollars so that he can remain passionate about his team, I bet he'll forgo the billion dollars. His love for the Cowboys is something that money can't buy.

Here it is. They just get the beginning of the tirade. It's mostly just embarrassing for him because he wasn't aware of the tradition clearly and he overreacted. Anyway. It's neither here nor there, but it's what I think of anytime he goes off on anything, and it makes me cringe.

In the past I usually cannot stand him being the announcer of Cowboy games. He would gush over the other teams players and never say much about the Cowboys. Not that he was wrong. But he just didn't sound authentic and honest and seems to try too hard to be impartial to make himself look professional.

Not this past Sunday. Troy seemed to be gushing with giddiness over this new Cowboys team. He sounded authentic and real and finally showed that he's a true Cowboy at heart. I think he feels good about this team and their chances to make it deep into the playoffs. He didn't hold anything back when he referred to the Cowboys performance as a "domination." If we didn't mess up on special teams this game wouldn't even be close he said. I think it surprised the network and they had to follow what Troy was saying and everyone had to agree with him.

Best part was when Romo and TWill converted on that 3rd and 20 play. He simple stated " Seattle's defense doesn't just let teams convert 3rd and 20 just like that."

I think Troy being giddy about this team says a lot.
Hey, you know what? Maybe when we're not very good or playing very well, Troy doesn't have too many positive things to say about us. And maybe when we are playing well, he does.

I find him very objective and balanced, if a bit bland.

I think Troy calls it like he sees it. I expect no less. He's a pro.

Aikman has taken his share of grief in here about his announcing. Overall I think he does a great job and is a real pro also. I can't wait to hear how he calls our playoff games.

I loved Troy as a player and I think he does a fair job as an analyst. My favorite is Moose though. I also love this time of year. Baseball playoffs/World Series means less of Joe Buck. Can't stand that tool.

For me, its real hard to listen to a game Moose does. And not because of Moose. Its the other nit wits he's teamed with. I'd rather be water boarded than listen to an Albert.

Team culutre and coaching group as a whole is better too. That coaching staff was pretty good too, but this one has preached their vision loudly and clearly. Offense is playing like a well oiled machine rather than one or two stars. The D is also playing like a swarm of bees, instead of relying on a few pro bowlers. I just recall everyone on the D trying to get voted onto the pro bowl that season. We had too many distractions on every side of the ball as well.

I like Aikman because I think he is the type of individual who always tries to do the best he can as a professional.

I think he views trying to be non bias when he calls Cowboys games is him trying to be professional.

I think when people think he is being bias "against" the cowboys it is just him not being biased "for" the cowboys and are to sensitive to anyone not saying only good things about the cowboys. It's funny because I have talked with people who don't like Aikman because they think he is too biased FOR the cowboys when he calls games. Of course they are fans of other teams saying this. Just a point that others are seeing it differently...chances that means he is doing a good job of staying pretty fair.

I have found it funny sometimes how fans are in this type of thing.

Most LOVE Irvin because he is passionate about the Cowboys and is almost always a homer for the Cowboys. At the same time they will belittle and hate on other media guys that are biased for a team they like or played for (Jaws is one I have seen people complain about when it comes to the eagles).

I think some are just too hyper sensitive with some of the media types.

Very true.

Specifically, a call that is very questionable he will side against cowboys when he really should say, "yeah, I thought that hit on Romo WAS LATE"..

Instead he says the opposite
