Its a huge red flag , i agree with Troy
Not to mention the coaches not tanning their virtual hydes for not being professional. Both things can be true. Dak isn’t playing well and the WRs are not running great routes, by design or lack of effort.
Troy Aikman is saying exactly what I've been saying for years lately. I said 3 years ago that the receiver’s coach needed to be fired. We now see why in what Troy has seen and explained. He even specifically said he has seen such horrible route running and designs by our receivers extending even before this season. It's not my fault most of you fail at seeing at what Troy Aikman and I see what is truly a problem with this offense.Did @America's Cowboy hack your account?
Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman on @dfwticket on Dallas' wide receivers: "I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I've thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee (Lamb) has got to improve in his route running. As a quarterback, if you're not certain where guys are going to be consistently, it's hard to play the position. That's what I see. I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run, usually if they do, it's because they're anticipating they're going to get the football on that play, but if they're not, they don't. And it all ties together. I'm not impressed with that part of it."
"I just finished watching the Baltimore Ravens because I have them this week. You put on film of theirs and watch their receivers run routes and they come off the football, so does San Francisco's and Green Bay's and others. But it's hard to play the (QB) position if you're not certain how guys are going to run routes or where they're going to be. And I'm not speaking for Dak (Prescott). Dak may say, 'Hey, I think (their routes) are amazing.' But as a former quarterback watching it, it's gotta get a lot better."
Imho- Quincy was on his way to being a good QB. He derailed himself.True, I remember speaking well of Quincy. But he seems to turn it up a little for Dak.
Because Mike Zimmer is on our team. Also, how many times do we see other WR's from other teams WIDE OPEN, but yet, we RARELY see that from our WR's.
Correct!or maybe there is some truth to what he is saying. pretty funny how so many former players/QBs come to Dak's defense yet Non-football types claim they are making excuses for them because their eye test supersedes the professionals (because the professional always has an agenda of course /s). When you get metrics to support it (e.g. WR separation), you have to consider the possibility. This does not remove responsibility from Dak who has a lot to cleanup in his game as well. Safe to say there is blame to go around to everyone on this team.
I think no matter how great a receiver is there has to be other receiving threats to complement him. Just like any group or corps on our team. One player does not a whole offensive or defensive line effectively make.Interesting...where have I heard where we have an physically gifted receiver that needs to improve route running. I wasn't a fan of paying CeeDee because of how he's pouted but now add this? Of course this goes back to the culture that Jerry has established there.
Is it excuses? Not saying Troy is wrong, but he's always defending Dak and making excuses for him.
So what I am supposed to make of this is that every time Dak tosses a pass 15 feet over a receivers head it was because the receiver ran a bad route. Do I have this right?Troy Aikman is saying exactly what I've been saying for years lately. I said 3 years ago that the receiver’s coach needed to be fired. No. It means you need to go seek professional help. You can't think straight, plus seriously suffer from DDS.So what I am supposed to make of this is that every time Dak tosses a pass 15 feet over a receivers head it was because the receiver ran a bad route. Do I have this right?
Jerry needs to find taller receivers....

Ugh.So the highest paid QB and the 2nd highest paid WR just arent getting it done. Perfect. We have an amazing GM.
Maybe a few more first round OL and a first round RB will fix it. Ah heck, lets add in another first round WR. Second round too.
Even when Dak doesn't stare a WR down, he still hesitates to pull the trigger when he picks one, giving the defense a half second to adjust, and then doesn't see it when they do.And yes Dak also at fault because he stares down the primary receiver, doesn’t go through his progressions, panics, and now hates to run or even scramble to buy some time.
I'm going with the "or".The highest paid player in the NFL should be playing far better than what he is, or he shouldn't have been paid that.
