Maybe 9 things can be true.

1. Our GM sucks.
2. We have zero run game.
3. No one believes in our play action.
4. Our scheme sucks - little to zero motion.
5. Zach Martin has severely declined.
6. Steele is stealing Jerry's money.
7. We have 2 rookies learning on the job, playing positions they have never played before.
8. We have 1 WR, who is not QB friendly.
9. Did I mention our GM sucks???
I'll add the one that the "Dak is ALL that is wrong with this team" crowd can only see to make your absolutely logical post valid to them:
  1. DAK SUCKS!!!!
That should make the list even better (even though I'm sure you already stated the obvious that Dak is playing really bad).

For our uneducated fans. The QB position is the most dependent position in football.

Interesting...where have I heard where we have an physically gifted receiver that needs to improve route running. I wasn't a fan of paying CeeDee because of how he's pouted but now add this? Of course this goes back to the culture that Jerry has established there.
We had a stellar precise route runner in one Amari Cooper once upon a time.

Not saying Troy is wrong, but he's always defending Dak and making excuses for him.

Aikman was always a perfectionist. Old habits die hard. Because when he eas playing if a receiver ran a bad route he would get on their *** about it and not allow it.

Of course Aikman was a better leader and true field general, unlike Dak.

Dak was raised in the NFL under the clapper, not Jimmy Johnson.

Good teams take on the identity of the Coach, and so do crappy teams.

Like I said....No coaching anywhere on the team minus maybe Al Harris...

Didn't read the entire thread, maybe this has been pointed out already.

Aikman would have jumped all over his receivers for lazy and inconsistent route running. Does Dak ever get in their faces?

This team needs a field general in the worst way.
Now THAT is a fair criticism of Dak. He needs to be chewing out some *****, not being all rah rah, generic leadership speak. Also not speaking to his teammates through the media either.

Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman on @dfwticket on Dallas' wide receivers: "I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I've thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee (Lamb) has got to improve in his route running. As a quarterback, if you're not certain where guys are going to be consistently, it's hard to play the position. That's what I see. I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run, usually if they do, it's because they're anticipating they're going to get the football on that play, but if they're not, they don't. And it all ties together. I'm not impressed with that part of it."

"I just finished watching the Baltimore Ravens because I have them this week. You put on film of theirs and watch their receivers run routes and they come off the football, so does San Francisco's and Green Bay's and others. But it's hard to play the (QB) position if you're not certain how guys are going to run routes or where they're going to be. And I'm not speaking for Dak (Prescott). Dak may say, 'Hey, I think (their routes) are amazing.' But as a former quarterback watching it, it's gotta get a lot better."

This is what you say when you have media training and experience……… :hammer:

Dez is more direct………..just call the Dak Haters Casuals:lmao::lmao2::grin:

Lamb is being exposed this year. Still a great player but he's not on the Justin Jefferson/Ja'Marr Chase level and shouldn't have gotten paid in their stratosphere.
chase isn't exactly setting the world on fire, and that's with a qb everyone loves. and the bengals are 2-4.

Tony Romo had the same problem receivers taking plays off. They don’t expect the football so they don’t run a strong route. That’s lazy.
Look at the Detroit Lions perfect example. Four wide receivers one freelance is always one going to get wide-open. He has all day to throw the ball back there. When’s the last time we seen that in the Dallas Cowboys playbook

The problem is, Aikman walked the walk. He had cred. If he chewed you you, you couldn't turn around and tell him to stop sucking too because he stepped up when it mattered. Dak however doesn't step up and for him to get in a receiver's face, the receiver can just laugh at him because Dak chokes when it matters. Why look to someone as a leader when they can't perform in tense situations? However, it's highly unprofessional for those receivers to get lazy in their jobs regardless or not of whether the QB only stares down receivers and struggles with reads.

In fact, those receivers are hurting the team by giving the QB excuses and hiding his shortcomings.

Oh so in other words, you just chatting

Are you or are you not the one who made the claim that Lamb is "constantly double and triple teamed."

You made the claim, hence, you carry the burden of proof.

First, he's basically never triple-teamed, and is double-teamed but far less than you are insinuating. I know this because the All-22 film shows me so. If your football opinions are based on what Brian Schottenheimer tells you to think, then it explains a lot. But again - I can't do the homework for you. All I can do is lead the horse to water - it's up to you to drink it. There are resources out there readily available at your fingertips that can help you better understand ball.

Also, how many times do we see other WR's from other teams WIDE OPEN, but yet, we RARELY see that from our WR's.
1)scheme
2) no threat of playaction because we have the worst rushing attack in the league.
3) OL isn't up to par and Dak isn't playing well.
