Man, I'm such a Romo homer. This is so embarrassing.
And he goes all Missouri on them, and plays it off..
"Yeah [
Jerry Jones lip smack], I can't just go in there and play. I have this whole full-on, professionally-recommended routine which was advised by my doctor. The only problem is my doctor never forewarned me about how foolish I would look doing it on social media."
Tony has a complex, because of Tom Brady, and having so many Super Bowl rings, and he truly hates to lose. That's why he's so good, with such limited tools. Romo actually hates, hates, hates losing.
But then, outside of that, he's just a little bit too regular of a regular guy, and just doesn't think things through too much. Like this back stretch routine gimmick right there, next to the golfer he's competing against as he misses his put in the game to beat you. Thankfully, for those who enjoy comedy, he eats too many donuts and blows his back out while media pans the camera away from Romo just as he goes into his fairy dusting, old fart fairy routine trying to remain relevant by getting in the doctor-recommended stretch in in front of the camera.
Everyone knows he's just a ham.
"I woulda been great —"
"My back! My back!"
I've pretty much always supported Dak. Even in hindsight, I still can't hate on him. Romo was great. Like Dak, who I think is still proving whether or not he's great, Romo gets too invested in the hyperbole surrounding being the Cowboys QB. After their careers, psychologically, they should both kick back, pop a beer or seltzer water and a legal hand-rolled and let that shee go. They need to be preparing for what their profession will be when it's over. Then, as the years go on, after so many. years of learning and preparing, you're better prepared.
All athletes should do that. You have the capital to be able to sit back and soak up some things here and there. It's easier to leverage you're NFL career if you're smart about it. I've worked with several former NFL players at other jobs they worked after football.
The NFL players union should also form a pact to support former players who hit rock bottom, like Barber. He wasn't a bad person. Nothing like that at all. He just had some struggles, These guys have so much pressure. It's pretty unbelievable. You lose a game; 3 million plus fans are in your email the next day blaming you.
I will say this. I think Romo could have led several of the Pats teams to SBs, just like Brady did.
OK, I'm gonna go finally run for cover. Busy day.
