True story, but I don't know what it means.

First post and it is a true story. I live in St.Louis but have been a huge COWBOYS fan for 15 years now. I work for a moving company, that to my suprise got the oppurtunity to pick up, deliver, and reload the COWBOYS equipment for the game on Sunday. One of the benefits or punishments of the job was to get to watch the game from the COWBOYS sideline. We all know the outcome, but there is one thing I found odd. Waiting outside the locker room to load the equipment, I noticed two people sitting in some chairs off to the side. One of them being the head coach of OU. I don't know if this has any meaning or it is just one of those things.

What is the obsession with Bob Stoops that some people have?

Because everyone loves Zone defenses and choking!

Or even better we love those Steve Spurrier under studies.

what do you think - it is desperation. As much as Stoops is most likely not the solution...he is a upgrade over Phillips at this point.

first there is no way stoops would be the head coach, no way

jerry learned his lesson working with college coaches and has seen it in the nfl just doesnt work

and best i remember jerry said that he would never hire a college coach becaues the learning curve is to great and would take too long

The only college coach Jerry hired did pretty well.........what was it 3 Super Bowls? Jimmy did pretty well IMO. Barry was long retired from coaching in Oklahoma.

I don't want Stoopes or any other college coach, but Jimmy did pretty good.

It just means Stoops is friends with Jerry and he was invited to the game.

RJ is our next head coach. Jerry didn't give him that huge contract for nothing.

Huh, that's odd. I thought the first coach he hired was a college coach and the cowboys did allright under him. Weird.

I would seriously consider picking another team. I would never forgive Jerry for such betrayal.

what exactly should I consider? I said Stoops is not the answer and I don't think Wade is up for the job either. You think Wade (13-3) is doing a great job with all of this talent?

Glad you asked!

He's a winner.
Loves the attack defense
Believes in driving, bulldozing down the field with the occasional mid-range passing game.
He's young and in the ascendency.
He's a disciplinarian, I hear.
Did I mention he's a winner?

Stoops'd be light years ahead of Wade at the Cowboy's helm.

Did I say he hadn't?

What part of my post did you disagree with? Do you think this means he's hiring Bob Stoops?

Yeah. I don't think Jerra has had any success with a college coach.
