Truly looking like a "house money" game!

Detroit is basically the Saints on steroids and are coming off of a bye. Just a tough matchup for the Cowboys even if we were healthy. Only chance is for the offense to play well and we get some turnovers. Right now the Lions are just a better team then the Cowboys.
Couldn't agree more!

I would much prefer the Cowboys be expected/anticipated to win games against good teams because they’re viewed as superbowl contenders.
Cowboys haven't proven they are contenders, until they beat the best teams in the league.

The betting line is set, with Detroit being favored by three points.

That's, without a doubt, never any guarantee of winning.

Brandon Aubrey could even that up with one kick.

Enjoy the game, regardless of the results!
I don't understand how this juggernaut from Detroit is only a 3 pt favorite over a team missing a quarter of their starters and a porous defense. Seems odd.

No, you said it's a tossup which means the teams are built evenly on both sides of the ball which they are not. Of course on any given Sunday.....that's not what you said though and after watching Football for 40 years there is a difference. Odds makers know it, you know it
I think that Dallas wins it at home.

This contest is a great test of this teams mental fortitude. These players are not winning this game simply by beating the opponent across from them. This coaching staff will be put to the test not only with how well they install the X's and O's but how they get these players mentally ready for a talented, tough, well coached team.

Detroit proven last season they have become a legitimate Super Bowl Contender, outside of a few bonehead coaching decisions they should of played the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. They now have upgraded their team and have revenge on their minds. This could be a real ugly game for the Cowboys, especially with their depleted defense. In my opinion, it's a house money game, they are expected to lose. Show up play loose and turn it into a scoring fest, maybe they win on a turnover or get a special teams score.
I am just hoping we are due for a good game at home and a win, will be happy as long as we scrap by with a win , single point is ok.

Yeah. That’s why people referring to the Lions game as “house money” isn’t a good thing. Because all it means is the cowboys aren’t a team expected to beat the better teams in the league.

Pretty much, but playing a far better team, especially defending their offense.
Pittsburgh had holes on their offensive line and at quarterback that kept them from controlling the football game. The good news is I can’t see the Lions defense stopping our offense if we play like we did last week. Pittsburgh had the best defense we played all year. The issue is with Detroit is they have the best offensive line in football going against our depleted front 7.

Offensively, Detroit poses a huge problem. Their run game is very similar to the Saints, a lot of eye candy and a physical OL. As for the passing game, they have weapons all over the field with a great line protecting their QB. The way you beat Goff is to get him off the spot and make sure he doesn't get into rhythm. Must survive the early downs and try to get after Goff. Let's hope Bland returns this game, he will allow Zimmer to become more aggressive with his calls. I see an ugly loss, but they have surprised us before in these type of games, the ones they are suppose to compete, that's when they usually let us down.

If they were at full strength, they would have a better chance to compete against the elites.

No style points needed, think everyone would be thrilled with a victory.

Cowboys are never playing with house money. But i do get what you saying.

Losing house money or your own money is still a loss. I just want them to put up a fight.
