Denver (3-0) -- I give Josh McDaniels' team credit for entering October undefeated after going to hell and back in August. But beating the Bengals on a lucky bounce, and then handling the sad-sack Browns and Raiders shouldn't make anyone start printing playoff tickets in Denver. The Broncos are about to embark on two of the longest months an NFL schedule-maker can dish out in 2009: Dallas, New England, at San Diego, at Baltimore, Pittsburgh, at Washington, San Diego, and the N.Y. Giants. If the Broncos are anything better than 4-7 heading into December, I'll tip my hat.

Don Banks' perspective probably leads him to believe that Dallas will be one of Denver's seven losses and Washington being one of their four wins by December. That would coincide with anything offered by ESPN. :)

Denver is definitely one of the weaker 3-0 teams out there right now but they won't just lay down for a helter skelter Cowboys team that's still discovering itself.

i dont get all the "keep it in perspective" " we only won cause" threads and all the *insert player* hate threads......if we win its pitiful if we lose its shameful......is it really a crime to just enjoy football season? i feel some have gotten so far gone that they wouldnt even enjoy a SB win

Oh, that's without question. I was simply balancing your reply involving a sports entertainment source with another.

Sorry. Don't count me in that batch. I just prefer to take a more reserved look at where we are after blowing my proverbial payload every season for the past few years only to find the big pot of letdown at the end of the rainbow...

I'll very much enjoy a SB win if we can find some way to get there.

This team doesn't have an identity problem at all. It just gets away from what it does best. It looks to be flashy rather than efficient. Monday it displayed it's true identity. There are games when flashy will work though,
just not every game.

Owens sucks!:D

Thank you, Captain Obvious, for this enormously important thread.

I'm now filled with perspective. Like the guy who you smoke with who always decides he wants to say something really profound EVERY TIME, like "Do you ever think about how we're all really the same and stuff?" - as though he's the first freaking person to ever get introspective while blazed.

We all know we beat crappy teams. Thanks.
