So for the average NFL Quarterback Romo is below the average for arm strength?

I stopped reading when you said that.

And he has connected on so many out routes this year too.

The dude makes every throw imaginable.

Romo does not have any strengths. His weakness is that he has not won 3 SuperBowls in his 3 years starting...(well, not counting this season).

So, really that is what the OP wants to hear, so there, it's over with!

and weakness, if you think he has any...

Romo is very good at throwing on the run but he is not very good at throwing to the sidelines from the pocket.

Romo has a below average arm but he has a very quick release and accurate ball.

Romo has poor leadership skills but he is coachable and not overly demanding of his players.

Romo is elusive in the pocket but he is frail.

You should have just had your post titled "List Romo's Weaknesses" since this is what your post is really about.

Romo is not good at throwing from the pocket, well then you must be missing quite of few of his throws because he can throw good from the pocket.

Romo has a belove average arm? I will be the first to admit his arm is not going to confuse you with Jay Cutler, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, JeMarcus Russell or Ben Roethlisberger in the arm strength department. All those guys have cannons for arms. While Romo does not have the big cannon arm like they do, he does have good arm strength. Although I guess it is a little easier to criticize his arm strength right now. Kind of hard to put as much behind the pass after a broken finger and then playing through 2 games with back injuries.

Romo has poor leadership skills? Oh my, I would not rank him as the QB with the #1 leadership skills, he has good leadership skills. He has not had this team with a winning record for 3 straight seasons now because he is a poor leader.

Romo is frail, is he as tough as Brady or Favre, no. Is he tough, yes he is. Far from frail. If he was frail he never finishes that Giants game and then completely misses playing in the Ravens game.

If you want to talk about frail, maybe you should look at our offensive line, they are joke. We truly have the 5 dumbest people in the NFL on our offensive line. I can't find where you could find 5 dumber people. They do a terrible job of protecting Romo and are too dumb to figure out how to stop the Ravens. They made an old washed up has been, the murderer Ray Lewis look like he is in the peak of his prime.

When it comes to weaknesses, look no further than our sorry excuse for an offensive line and our overrated defense full of chokers.

Romo's strength and weaknesses....

Strength: Scratch golfer; can play decent game of basketball; somewhat of a comedian (see his post-game comments); lucky (see Jessica Simpson), generous with his money and time; friendly; and easy-going.

Weaknesses: December is when his arm begins to show signs of being tired (see results of last two seasons); lacks good field judgement (see game reviews); plays the game like a sand-lot player; and secretly designs plays with Witten.

At the end of the day, Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have the power to shut all of their critics up.

I think the negatives can all be lumped under one category...ball security. Most of the weaknesses (tries to make too many plays, fumbles, etc.) stem from him not taking care of the ball.

Tony needs to mature as a QB. Not the maturity of child to adult. But from careless QB who can make plays to mature QB who knows when and when not to.

Honestly, Tony only has one weakness to his game and that is too many turnovers. If that gets solved then look out. Brady type things will happen.

In terms of true strengths, weaknesses - you have to focus on the things that are clearly above or below average for an NFL QB.

Strengths:
1. Accuracy
2. Release
3. Elusiveness
4. Playmaking Ability

Weaknesses
1. Performance in high pressure situations
2. Fumbles too much/has trouble holding on to ball
3. Decision making -- forces too many balls into coverage

Arm strength, Leadership, etc. - those are neither clear strengths or weaknesses, as he doesn't stand-out in any of these areas and isn't significantly below in average QB in these areas either.

romo does not have an above average arm

joe flacco has an above average arm. romo can't make the sideline pass across the field. and he can't make the deep pass off his backfoot like ben roethlisberger. romo can makes those passes of course, but he needs to be in good form using his legs.

he's good at short/intermediate passes with high accuracy and getting the ball out quickly. very intelligent, handles pressure well, and can create time with his feet.

that's a west-coast qb.

doesn't sound like a air coyrell offense at all. yet that's what they want. a pocket passer with a cannon for an arm. that's drew bledsoe not romo.

his key deficiency is physical though, it's the gunslinger mentality. knowing when to take a chance and when not to.

Romo has an above average arm, Flacco has a canon.

That said, Romo is 3rd in the league in yards per attempt behind Rivers and Brees (and not by much) while Facco is 23rd in the league.

I agree that Tony's main issues are mental, not physical.

I think you could add average to above average vision to his list of weaknesses as well.
