Maybe. Or maybe they wanted to rest Gallimore because he was injured. I know there was some speculation that he was a healthy scratch, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

We essentially cut Hill to keep Watkins, which goes back to the fact that Hill isn't that great of a run defender. That wasn't ever really supposed to be his strength, but the fact that he's done little as a pass rusher would make being able to stop the run a necessity for keeping him around.

I would have cut him a while back and kept Ridgeway. Hill has had some flashes, but not enough up to this point to think he's anything more than a bottom-of-the-roster guy.

Was this reaction to drafting Joey Ivey? The guy who didn't even make it out of training camp? Rod no only loved terrible talent, he gave them no time to impress.
