Since this is the best cowboys forum I wanted to gauge you's reactions. Personally I enjoy(ed) the Tuesday game(s).

Pro:
-More rest for players
-Tighter schedule
-Tuesday's are whack anyway
- potential added flexibility in flex scheduling

Con:
-Potential fatigue from sat-mon football
- lost investment in ThNF advertising they've been doing
- probably some fantasy implications idk who cares whatever
- most responses will
Be "goodel stop messing up with my footbaw!!"

so one day of rest from Sunday to Tuesday. I think Thursday is the earliest in week you should have game since the NFL does not want to intrude into HS and CFB on Friday and Saturday.

I think Tuesday would be the last game of the week not the first

so you still have short turn arounds play Tuesday and then the next Sunday. At least Thursday you have short week followed by a 10 day lay off.

When did they have Tuesday night games?

They could never do it that way. It would have to be play Tuesday instead of (Sunday/Monday) and then have a short week to the next Sunday.

you're right it doesn't make much sense either way. If they're trying to take over anther say it should be saturday IMO. I'm a fan of just Sunday/Monday myself and the special Thursday games like Thanksgiving and Christmas when it lines up

When did they have Tuesday night games?

I expect he's bringing it up because there was a game played on a Tuesday a while back because of weather. There has been some talk that the Buffalo game might get the same treatment this week.

I think after 9/11 there was some passing consideration to have games every 5 days to get the full season in.

Not sure one day's difference (Tuesday-Sunday instead of Sunday-Thursday) is enough of a reason to change it.

I like the thursday night games for several of the above mentioned reasons such as its a better night to get together with people or go out to watch games, it prevents fans from having a long break in between pro games.

I dont see what the big deal is about the short week because you have 10 days to prepare for the next game so its a disadvantage 1 week and then an advantage the next week. Plus since they do it all year long now that is 17 weeks so potentially every team could or should have a shot at a prime time thurs game and if it is done that way then it is fair all the way around as each team will have to deal with it.

Its just another thing for teams to decide how they want to prepare or create a strategy to deal with it.

Sunday only with one Monday night game.

That's best for the players, fairness, and keeping the league fresh and the anticipation up.

But the NFL couldn't give a rip about player safety, and money trumps competitive fairness.

Another day of practice and rest doesn't improve the quality ? Plus the teams coming off a Tuesday game would be playing on the next Sunday and packed Into the big slate of games so if they are tired it'll be unnoticed. Whereas a Tuesday game gives them plenty of rest for prime time. Everyone says the short turnaround makes for sluggish games right ?

like someone that was a genius suggested the other day....thursday night games should be scheduled in conjunction with bye weeks.
