I'd change the 94 Championship game because this is the only one I was alive for and it would've been awesome to be able to say that my team is the only one to win 4 straight Super Bowls.

Well I just got done watching the 2 highlights of SB losses to the Steelers. I'd love to re-watch both those games from start to finish to really pick up a greater sense of momentum. But the ridiculous PI call on Barnes followed by the Randy White kickoff return fumble... grrrrrrrr!

And Pittsburgh gets to be all high and mighty coming off the field and into the HoF. Wow! :bang2:

Then to realize the chances we had to beat the Niners in 82 even despite the Catch. :bang2:

Now the self-destruction in 95 out in SF is painful but in reality that day wasn't a lightning strike. We had been fighting our own demons and the Niners all season to maintain NFC supremacy. As much as I loathe the non-PI on Deion I still think it was unlikely we win that game because it was in many ways a season and a game with just too many things stacked against us. Some by fate, some by injustice, and some of our own doing. It just wasn't to be.

Now would we have won that game, the SB, next years, and more had Jimmy stayed? Interesting discussion, but no sure thing. Recall there was a school of thought that the tight reign of Jimmy had worn thin on some.

I'm not sure the Irvin's, Harper's, Lett's, Erik, etc would have had the maturity to prevent the self-destruction even with Jimmy at the helm. And remember, even if Jimmy stays, there is THAT whole immaturity going on as well.

In some ways the collective immaturity of those young dominant 2 time SB champs was going to prematurely doom us no matter what.

Montana had like four minutes to engineer his drive. White had 50 seconds.
We had already crossed the 50 yard line. Time wasn't the issue.

Barnes' old helmet was auctioned recently:

The 1994 NFC title game. We were the better team, and ecept for the first 7 minutes or so, we showed it. If not for Deion getting away with PI and Boniol missing the kick, we would have likely won that game.

Also, despite the fact that we lost, that was the greatest game Troy Aikman ever played.

The ice bowl was one of the most painful. The Cowboys were just gaining recognition around the league. We went into G.B somewhat like David facing the Giant and I was really proud of them. They played GB to a standstill and then for the game to come down to one play with all of the intangibles like footing, numbness, etc. was bad. I was skick for days.

That game we won in every category but the score was our first SB game with Baltimore. We completely dominated in the game. We were at their one yard line when our C dropped the ball and Dave fell on the ball. The Colts started jumping up and down saying they had recovered and the ref gave the signal the ball would be Colt's ball. There was no way Dallas could have lost the game. The dominance was so complete that even with the refs assistance they couldn't lose but they did. When I think of SB wins regardless of what the records show, I know we have won six.
