Turncoat Tony

The coaches have royally *** him up. He needs to go back to doing what he does best, improvise. Recall in the 4th quarter on 4th down, shotgun snap, all kinds of pressure in his face, Romo slides, scrambles to his left then motions to Hurd to run up the middle where he hits him for a big completion that gives us a chance to win. THATS the romo I want to see. NOT the Romo who tries to be Tom Brady sitting in the pocket. Come on, how many times do you recall the old Romo taking a sack at the back of his drop? Happened multiple times yesterday. Old Romo would have slid and maneuvered till he had something he could work with. HE IS BEING MISS-COACHED.

:bang2::bang2:

I'm inclined to agree with you. This all started before the 2008 season. I think the coaching staff has officially coached Romo out of being Romo. He doesn't even look like he's having fun anymore. Let him just go play.

some great thoughts on this thread. agree with all of them. he is very gun shy and i think he's thinking too much. i just worry that its too late for him

Romo looks uncertain and scared out there.

He has no confidence. I remember when confidence was his strong suit.

Start looking for his replacement.

He's playing scared. He wants to throw it but he's scared to make a mistake.

That Giant game killed his confidence.

100 % agree with you comment. How many passes over the middle beyond 10 yards has he thrown, since Tampa? Scared *** *****!

can you say Wade Wilson

hes the worst IMO

I think he even held Troy back back in the day

Amen, he's the worst possible QB coach. He was QB coach when Q was drafted and Q was with this team for six months before Wilson even noticed that he didn't know how to take a snap and couldn't throw a spiral because he was gripping the ball wrong. A decent QB coach would have noticed both of those things in the first workout but mindless Wade Wilson paid no attention at all.

But he's loyal to Jerry and that appears to be all that matters.

This team is Jerry's problem, not mine and I seriously doubt he will solve his problem.

Life is good anyway as long as you don't let little things get you down. It's a beautiful cool, foggy morning out here on the ranch, think I'll go fix a little bit of fence.

All I know is Tony said this was this year he was going to quit turning the ball over and so far it's been his worse year by far and we're only 4 games into the year.

He's average. The team is average. That's what I see.

Anyone else figured him out yet?

This dude plays for the other team regularly.

He still doesn't get it.

Wait, let me take that back. He finally gets it and he is now deathly afraid of giving the ball away.

Romo is broken right now. Gonna be a long, long season if he continues to play like he has.
heard that a lot from Broncos fans as we walked left the stadium "Tony Romo was our BEST player today!"

He's a real talent that has been miscoached.
and underappreciated by fans. He knows that people like here on this board have complained nonstop about the turnovers. Should he let that get to him, no, but it has. He's trying to not make mistakes, that's what the majority of us asked for.

Be careful what you wish for...

The 4th and 2 conversion is the Real Tony Romo. The one you saw for the rest of the game? He's a byproduct of week after week of undeserved media/fan criticism. When the game was on the line (the first time) Romo's instincts kicked in and he quit doubting himself. Guess what happened? Our biggest offensive play of the game. Can you guys not see a correlation? He put is in a position to win that game, not lose it.

Because he's not that type of player. You can't tell gunslingers to be a bus driver. The real Romo is the one against the Giants. Which is fine when those plays work but when they don't, he's REAL bad. There seems to be no in between with him. And I say he almost has to be his self because that gives us the best chance to win, even if it costs us games. Because playing not to make mistakes and scared and nervous is way worse because all his throws are way off.

I'm not a fan of Romo but if he's going to be our QB, at least play to the style you are most comfortable with to give us a chance.

I think that this is the most logical, honest, and realistic answer to this debate!

We have zero chance at a productive season if Romo is playing bus driver all game long. I'm not saying that we throw the ball 40+ a game everygame. But we need him to be Tony Romo... We can't win games if he is scared to turnover the ball... So, in the end, it comes down to one thing.

Do we want to lose the game because we held back and didn't take a risk? Or do we want to lose the game because we didn't hold back, we took our shots and it just didn't work out?

Personally, I say, let' go down swinging... if we lose because we were picked 4 times, so be it... it's better than leaving a play out on the field!
