Turning Point

"Bengals perennial playoff contenders.". Just doesn't sound right despite recent history.

A big, huge difference I see so far, and you can see it on this video.
And I am not taking anything away fro Murray and his great 2014 season. But...

You can see the difference and what it means, and will mean going forward. Many of these Zekes' runs, especially on the first run of this clip.
You see him plant the foot, and the burst and speed splitting the 2 defenders for a long gain.
Murray on that same run, would have been tackles by the closing defenders or at least hit and slowed upped. But most likely he would have not made, if he even could make that cut. But he would have bounced it outside and ran or would have been hit and forced out of bounds. Getting like 10 yards less.

Nice video. Good stuff.

I sincerely hope Zeke puts a helmet sized hole in Clay Matthews chest ala Kam Chancellor in the preseason.

Also, Murray would have FOR SURE been caught on that 60 yarder.

I think what impresses me most is the physicality of this team. There was a headline for an article recently which stated the Cowboys are Bullies. Then Zeke said, "We're just too physical for them."

This is the key to success. Hit the other team in the mouth right off the bat. Keep hitting them in the mouth until they don't want anymore.

I hope this unfolds just like this in Green bay.

That video doesn't show Murray to have the same speed. There was no angle of pursuit to out run. Murray has good vision and cut back at the perfect time but no Ram had the angle that the Bengals secondary had. Murray would have been caught for a 20-25 yard gain on Zekes touchdown run.

Are you claiming Zeke is some speed demon? He ran a 4.49, which is a good time but not otherworldly.

The Bengal in persuit didn't have good angles because Elliott came through the line untouched. This wasn't a toss sweep to an edge; your never going to have good pursuit angles when a back hits the hole untouched at full speed.
