Absolutely not not even a thought would go into making Turpin and running back you want to use them in some end a rounds and some motion those are considered run plays behind the line of scrimmage, yes

absolutely not as a RB!!

you need to stop hating on deuce Vaughn, deuce Vaughn is that guy, and yet you think he's too small and now you want to bring in Turpin?? you're talking about being a hypocrite!

we have a good running back room right now and we will find a good mix...
Turpin couldn't even catch the damn football without fumbling/bobbling it at the end of last year and already in preseason and you want him to handle the ball more as a running back??

It's a resounding no

as a matter of fact if this dude keeps bobbling the football and fumbling he's going to lose his special teams job to do Vaugn, Fact, he is starting to be shaky he was doing it at the end of last year and now he did it in his first preseason game and we got rid of Brett Maher for doing less and yet Turpin's getting the pass and now you want to add to his workload no just no no no no no
He was hired to do returns. He took a few to the house in preseason and win the job. During the season he had a few run backs and had a chance to take one to the house that would have flipped a game on its head and cut into the kicker instead of outside where most make that cut away from him. He fumbled 3 times last year. Let’s not run him up the middle. Jet sweeps maybe.

Exactly not only did he fumble three times he bobbled the ball a couple times and he took too many out of the end zone on kickoffs that he should have put a knee down like he tried too hard and maybe he was trying to be impressive and overworked but I don't like the fact that he comes out in the first game and fumbles again.. This is the kind of problem that gets you job taken away from you I mean he's gonna cost us a game he literally was part of some of those games the last six games of the season that we had momentum and he killed it very much just like this preseason game Saturday literally he killed the momentum we started gaining in the first quarter.. If this is a trend deuce Vaughn will take his job... He should not feel very secure right now and I hope that he calms the **** down

Why hasnt this been talked about?

Well I know why, but lets give it a shot.

Looks like they have a real plan to get him involved on offense more. Along with getting legit WR looks, seems we may have a few more gadget type plays with him.

I personally think this could be a breakout type year for him offensively. It would be nice if he could grow into being a Cooks lite type guy. Would be very helpful for us down the road.
I don't think he's getting "RB looks" other than maybe as a gimmick, and in that case other teams would know if he is in the backfield he would only be involved if it were a gimmick or as a decoy. I don't see that as being more than a rare once in a while over the season

Yeah he isnt getting the job done. The staff is still going off what they saw during last years preseason game against players trying to make a team. During the season I saw 1 good run back and he turned into the kicker.

Should have signed Dalvin Cook instead of thinking about doing this kind of junk. There's zero reason to try to get cute like this. What does he offer over Deuce Vaughn, who will be doing similar things?

Keep him on returns so Deuce won't have to be wasted doing them.

Don't get your expectations too high for Turpin on offense. He might get some plays, but he's really buried at both the WR and RB spots. He's the 7th best option at RB, and the 5th or 6th best option at WR. The only reason they are trying him out at RB and giving him more time at WR is that he is going to be the punt and kick returner, and they'd like some other options to use him during games when some of their other WR's and RB's are on the inactive list.

I'll be surprised if Turpin even makes the team this year. He doesn't do enough just to keep as a gadget player...

Maybe you don't understand what a salary cap is???? we already paid Tony Pollard $10 million we were not going to give dalvin cook $8 million...

we just got rid of a running back who was a veteran up in age that could get injured because of what he counted against the salary cap...

I'm sorry but the only reason that jets can do something like that is because they already have a rookie running back and a bunch of young guys not making much money at the position, we already earmarked $10 million towards the starting running back PLUS 6mil tjhis year in zekes dead cap,
dalvin cook didn't fit here..
If we go get a veteran it needs to be on the veteran minimum.
Sorry to break the news to you but we have a very good running back by committee situation here right now there's no need to go get a dalvin cook by the way did dalvin cook beat the Cowboys last year or the giants did he make the Minnesota Vikings better?? Everyone who thinks we need to fix the running back room needs to wait till we actually see it broke what I'm seeing right now is Tony Pollard 's gonna start and we're gonna bring in a rotation it would look like we got some players that can do some things you're underestimating what deuce Vaughn can do because of his size and I can tell you this he can do enough that we do not need dalvin cook...

Of course it will be gadget type plays.

But if he can get real looks at WR and be productive, it makes running those gadget plays easier.

Last year, no one respected him as a WR and most of the times he went in, it was to run or fake some gadget play. Super sneaky on Moores part.
He's going to get punished.

No need to get cute. We have Deuece Vaughn...

I have no expectations for Turpin. Now that we drafted Deuce, I’m not even sure he’s the best returner on the team. Seems like he’s a bit overhyped in Cowboys country for what he actually brings to the football field.
Can I have your e-autograph Deuce? Pretty please?
