Preseason or not those returns prove he is a weapon. Does it mean he will have return TD"s in the regular season, no, but it means he is a weapon period. How many other return TD"s in the preseason so far? He will be a weapon in the offense this year as well. The hesitation and speed on the end around is better than we have ever had on that play!

His USFL highlight tape is ridiculously good. The fact it only took him a few tries to take two to the house in NFL preseason is crazy. You simply do not see that happen. In fact, I'm not sure if I've ever seen it happen. The burst and elusiveness will translate to Sundays. It will just be a matter of getting him opportunities.

The guy also has some pretty good WR tape out there. I wouldn't be opposed to getting him involved on offense.

I'm pretty shocked NFL talent evaluators weren't all immediately taking a flier on this guy after his USFL performance. He jumps off the screen. Bravo to Will McClay and the scouts for finding him.

Turpin can create more excitement in one game than most do in a full season.

Seems forever, since the Cowboys had a return guy of his talent.
It was something akin to a miracle to behold.
I nearly popped a lung, shouting! :flagwave:

...Turpin should overall improve the team's starting field position, especially on punts! Yes I am being Captain Obvious...lol!

Right! That juke he made at the point of attack on the punt return was a thing of beauty. You can't coach speed, vision or instincts. He displayed all 3 in a very fluid manner. One thing about STs is it's all the fast guys on the team. So in STs I don't buy into the argument "it's the preseason and most of the players won't be there in the regular season". Special teams is speed guys in preseason and regular season. He's exciting. I think he could be the best thing to happen to is this offseason. He basically won the game for us.
Was going to post the same but you beat me to it, indeed that move was instinctual, cant be coached, you either have the ability or you dont.

I'd like to put him and Pollard in the back field at the same time in short yardage situations. Have a quick toss option with Pollard and Turpin. Who do you cover when both can take it in with speed and elusiveness. Or long yardage, who cares, they both can break it long.
