He's not worth the roster spot. At his best, he is an exceptional return guy. However, his decision making is questionable. For every big return, he has a several that don't even make it to the 25 yard line. I don't see him offering much else.

WR's #5 and #6 need to either be really good at multiple phases of special teams, or promising developmental receivers. Or both. Turpin gives you neither of these things.

With a new play caller.........can we get away from the trickeration plays and gadget guys? We've been trying this as far back as Lucky Whitehead. Let it go. I'm fine with Turpin as PR as long as he holds onto the ball.

I agree, but there is talent there. Hopefully good coaching can make him potentially be a weapon. His quickness is 2nd to none.

I think a good offensive mind would be able to have some plays that could include him in the offense, but being only a tad above 11 stones may be asking too much of his body.

Turpin’s quickness makes him a bad man in the open field.
- the occasional jet sweep
- bubble screens
- crossing into open zones in the WC offense

He won’t be a major player, but I definitely see him getting a few touches.
Let’s not forget how the grind of playing two seasons back to back with no break must have worn on him physically and mentally. I think we will see an even better player in year 2.

He was putting the ball on the carpet too much for my taste.

Maybe if he was on the Chiefs and not our sad sack offense. I have serious reservations that McCarthys west coast offense will figure this kid out.

He was a great returner. Not sure if you were watching the games or playing Madden.

I would have used him 2 times a game on go routes, just to see if he got open.
If your a defender which guy are you worried about blazing by you ? gallup, lamb, or turpin?

Turpin says he's a Playmaker, so what y'all think about Schotty n Big Mike weaponizing Turpin on offense?

Pro Bowl in his first season in the NFL.
Though he had some stumbles toward the end of the season, he often showed juice.
Costs nothing and we have his rights for the next 2 seasons. He'll get his chances on offense, more so if we don't keep Pollard.
He's everything you could want in a gadget player.

PROBLEM IS AS I SEE IT he's too small to take on the rigors of being an NFL player, I know it sounds weird, but that's just how I feel they feel about him

My thoughts exactly! In today's game there were too many returns out of the endzone by Turpin that ended up around the 15 when they should of just taken the ball at the 25. He is a wasted roster spot when they could of actually used a 3rd RB.

Yea we have been talking about that all season. I have ZERO clue what Kellen and Big Mike were thinking.

Just imagine if the Chiefs had a weapon like this.

As usual, coaching matters.
Like a 7th round rb and casts off lile toney, juju etc lol
