Turpin on Offense?

Turpin says he's a Playmaker, so what y'all think about Schotty n Big Mike weaponizing Turpin on offense?

I was a little surprised he didn't get more opportunities. Less than Lucky Whitehead years ago when he was a rookie. My understanding is that Turp might've been drafted out of college if not for the off -field issues.

He did have one muffed punt return but overall he seems like a playmaker who put up good numbers on PR and KR.

You are right, and I didnt notice. But even if you removed those with less than 10, he still ranks about 15th.

You think that is great?

He would rank higher than that but let’s just agree to disagree about a Pro Bowl player.

It's time to add him to the offense or release him because the Cowboys really aren't that good that they can carry a specialty player when they need extra help on the D-Line defending against the run game.

I agree, from the standpoint that they should've tried to do something with him just to see.

Agree. I think it's time for CJ Goodwin to go too. If Turpin can't provide on offense he has to go. Cowboys need those roster spots.

I agree, from the standpoint that they should've tried to do something with him just to see.

Now that I think about it a little more, maybe it was that they liked him so much as a returner (and probably his cap hit) that they didn't want him getting injured on an offensive play. Kinda the opposite of Dez returning punts.

I do wish that they could've used him more in jet sweeps, which usually end in the player not getting hit at all. But to use him on sweeps the opposing defense would have to respect him as a receiver. Even Lucky had a few catches.

Just a theory.
