He was a great returner. Not sure if you were watching the games or playing Madden.
I agree that statement was somewhat untrue, but he took far too many KOs out of the EZ where he should have just got the touchback and sometimes got stopped at the 15-20 and the fumblitis turned some guys off but hes still weapon and will be more comfortable this year

He's not worth the roster spot. At his best, he is an exceptional return guy. However, his decision making is questionable. For every big return, he has a several that don't even make it to the 25 yard line. I don't see him offering much else.

WR's #5 and #6 need to either be really good at multiple phases of special teams, or promising developmental receivers. Or both. Turpin gives you neither of these things.
A Pro Bowl Returner not worth the roster spot? It makes total sense to keep him on the active roster and to expand his role within the offense to validate that roster spot. The dude has jets and those are the types of players you need to get the ball to.

I would have used him 2 times a game on go routes, just to see if he got open.
If your a defender which guy are you worried about blazing by you ? gallup, lamb, or turpin?
If nothing else to draw the defenders away from where you really intended to go.

If you haven't seen him there how do you know...honestly? Give the guy a chance can't be worse than the other jags at the position

He was our most exciting thing going for awhile. Blame Moore for not giving him a chance.

Give the kid a shot on offense besides a jet sweep. Hopefully next season we can come up with a couple plays that get him the ball in open space. Yes, he's tiny but if we can find a way to utilize his speed sporadically throughout the game, I think it would be beneficial to the offense as a whole.

This team has had problems using shorter quick receivers for some time. They don't like it at all. They prefer the big tall guys with longer arms as they think it increases the catch radius. Turpin would excel in a catch and run system, where he can use his quickness and speed to his advantage and that is not anything these cowboys do the last 10 years.

Try a valid one.

He was #18 in Punt Return average--tied for 2nd most fumbles with 3

He was #30 on Kickoff returns with zero TDs

I don't know in what world that can be considered great.
I don’t believe those numbers.

I'm for keeping him, BTW. I think they just need to tone him down a bit on when he decides to run it out.

He’s far too small to do much on offense he’s a gadget guy. However, I wouldn’t mind utilizing him a little more offensively. For him to be affective as a receiver he’s going to have to beat people he’s not going to win battles. He needs opportunities where we can get him in space.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Did you see all the players with ONE return listed ahead of him? How about all the players with less than 10 ahead of him? Now, how about an apology?
You are right, and I didnt notice. But even if you removed those with less than 10, he still ranks about 15th.

You think that is great?
