Signed by Cowboys Turpin re-signed with 3-year deal

well a few more signings.. 2 of the 3 i hoped would come back got done; OSA and Turp.. Lost Jlew ,But Luv the Turp deal 3 years 18mil only 5.5 Guaranteed!

I'm sure get lost Whitecotton the new defensive tackle had something to do with Solomon Thomas coming from The Jets I guess he's an interior D lineman good for rotation I guess I don't know much about him.

At first, I was annoyed we couldn't keep JLew, but, with the numbers, I get it and should make for a good comp pick. Not bad considering 1. How long he's been here and 2. Considering we drafted him in the 6th round. We probably will be getting back at least a 4th next year for him, so I'm fine with it.

He should be on the field any time we go to three receivers. He was not last year. When we finally started to use him more, he showed up.
I'm torn on the subject. Last year as a receiver through the first 9 weeks he got to run 93 routes, and 6 rushing attempts. The last 9 weeks he got to run 111 routes and 11 rushing attempts. Factor in the bye week and its pretty even. Is his increased production as the season went on more about Turpin improving as a player? Maybe. Does it have to do with the offense as a whole playing better? Maybe. Overall his efficiency numbers were really strong on both halves of the season as a WR.

I struggle with it. Hes a guy I want on the field, but I do question how much. He had 480 snaps last year including ST...There is probably some room for more, but I don't think a ton more. Most full time WRs are around 900, and I would assume you want to go a little light for Turpin to keep him healthy. On the other hand though hes probably the 2nd best WR on this roster right now....

I think it had less to do with him improving and more to do with how we used him. We realized that he was a threat to defenses and started incorporating him more to take some of the pressure off Lamb. Hopefully, we learned from that and have him on the field any time we use a third receiver. Having Tolbert or Mingo or whoever out there instead is an injustice.

Our schedule was also significantly softer the last 3rd of the season.

Our Coaching Staff talked about being more physical. Did they talk to the Jones' about that?

So we are not going to fill any holes in FA and then draft a WR, RB and CB early in the draft.

So how are we getting more physical exactly?
We're going to let Hoffman lead all the pregame huddles.

Jerry sure loves these type of players. Shiny toys.

Turpin is a great returner- hopefully he can continue to keep his fumbling under control. It wasn't that long ago he led the league in that category.

As a WR, he's great in the open field with the ball. The problem is, he is undersized for a WR. He presents a small target, and honestly has awful hands for a WR. Too easy to knock him off his route at the line. Zero physicality. Needs to be paired with a precision passer.

While I don't hate the player or deal, is this really where you want to put your limited resources? I would rather put those resources on the line. Very typical Jerry move. Glitter over power.

It's a shame we haven't used Turpin to his fullest abilities yet. His slant vs the Texans to the house tells you what kind of player he can be on offense. In Dallas we always seem to underutilize weapons.

And Jerry signed him to a 1 year deal. Let's say he starts and plays well. Jerry missed another window. We literally have the dumbest GM.

Excellent unselfish player with a lot of heart.....seems like he should be on another team because he doesn't fit this teams culture.

This is what a person looks like who hasn't been pampered and entitled since high school. Props.

If Jethro signs enough 1 year $3M deals, 1 of them has to pan out by the end of the year by default right???
