If the Andre Holmes project does not work. I wouldn't mind.

Dude is reliable
you mean the cole beasley project?

We are at the tail end of replacing all of the Patrick Craytons on this team. No need to move backwards.

I was saying Andre, because Jerry was pimpin him....

And the fact I'm rooting for him :D

This.

Team needs players with character, not characters who can play.

Always liked Crayton, though I know he got sideways with Jerry a lot. (Might be why I like him.)

He has tremendous chemistry with Romo, especially in the red zone. If he still moves well enough, I'd be fine with him coming back to play the 3rd receiver role.

He got sideways with your boy Garrett. But way to misremember, again. You're like the Jeremiah Wright of Cowboys commentary the way you distort things.

Lots don't like him and that's fine but I'd certainly feel a lot more comfortable at the #3 spot with him than I would Tree or any of the other folks to this point.

That could easily change over the course of training camp and preseason, of course, but at this point I'd definately like him better at this point.

He got quite sideways with Jerry, too, during contract times. But carry on, oh Self-Aggrandizing One.

The issues with Crayton go way beyond and production he might bring to the football field. No thanks.

If we're looking for production just for production's sake we're better off calling T.O. They're both the same guy and one was actually dominant at some point in his career.

Except Romo loves Crayton and despises TO like the devil. Otherwise, that would make sense.

Crayton is younger, a little, I believe and he's not trying to comeback from a serious knee injury.

Not to mention he has shown that he can be a productive 3 in the past where as TO would never accept such a role.

But outside of that I guess the situations would be exactly the same.

Given his comments after leaving pretaining to Garrett I doubt he will ever be in a Cowboys uniform. Bottom line Crayton was not great to begin with and I don't see SD bending over to resign him despite losing Vincent Jackson and the fact SD is not loaded with top WR. I think some are viewing Crayton as better than he is

Crayton is the kinda guy you have waiting in the wings until the last minute. He already knows the offense like the back of his hands, so he doesn't need many reps, and you also don't want to take the chance of him getting hurt and eating up a vet minimum cost on the IR. If someone doesn't step by Preseason Game 3, Crayton probably gets a phone call.

Broaddus said rumors are that Radaway is experiencing pain in his broken leg. Combined with Holmes not showing up in shape and Coale not ready for another week or so, the already bad #3 WR situation is gotten off on the wrong foot.

Agreed. Plus, they'd likely want to wait until week 2 so the veteran contract wouldn't be guaranteed. That would provide time for someone like Coale to develop and take over later in the season if Crayton didn't produce at a high level.

I hope a young guy steps up in that 3rd receiver spot but if not i'd be all for bringing in Crayton.

Did Donald Driver ever sign anywhere?

He was never that productive in Dallas. If he knew the plays like the back of his hand he would have been in the proper position to make the catch vs NY in the playoffs. He was a malcontent that had to go
