It’s funny when McCarthy and the media reported the team wasn’t done “adding talent”.

This is exactly what we expected. Nothing wrong with this approach for 86-90. But was funny seeing a few people we’d sign NFL Caliber players

Lol, they have 3. One of the top qbs in the league and they are playing Lance in preseason. One thing that they don't need is another qb.
Agreed one of the top qb’s in the league until the tournament begins.

I’m sure Jerry and his son are burning the midnight oil trying to find UFL talent on film.

I just can’t understand why this GM setup doesn’t work. I don’t get it at all.

Every NFL GM should be at least vaguely familiar with every single player in the league. These two only know who is in the building, if that.

Disadvantage? Big time.

Change? Nope, Jerry’s ego needs his “credit” just in case it happens to go well.

Want to tell me Jerry isn’t really the GM and I ought to see that?….well then I’m just shocked that something based on a lie and a sham doesn’t work out either.

Baker is interesting. Dallas apparently brought in these 4 players for a workout:
LB Noah Dawkins (Michigan Panthers)
LB Willie Harvey Jr. (St. Louis Battlehawks)
CB Gareon Conley (DC Defenders)
CB Deandre Baker (DC Defenders)

Nothing excites our "Director of Player Personnel" like cheap labor.

UDFA and UFL. That's where we live.

It’s the cap.

To be a fair. They don’t have any space to sign big ticket UFAs.

Btw, dudes gonna get cut.

We are still underwater.

This gm setup has won 12 games three years in a row. What are the other 31gms doing?

No, he isn’t - Asim Richards will be. Guyton will be swing tackle. Guyton is a RT from what I can see.
1. By almost anyone's measure going into the draft, Guyton was not going to be plug-and-play... it was understood that he would need time to develop, unlike most of the OTs drafted ahead of him.

I can't see how we can conclude he's already debunked that idea after just OTAs and mini-camp. If he proves himself that good, that's something we'll learn later. We don't have any reason... reason... to believe that's already the case.

2. Richards? Richards has a total of 40... f-o-r-t-y... offensive snaps. Total. The best thing that can be said about Richards in June 2024 is he's not yet given anyone reason to think he won't be able to cut it. Which is great, but it's ridiculous to take that to mean you expect the kid to be your starting LT. No offense, just commenting on the assertion, not the person who said it.

3. You solve all that by signing one of the experienced LTs still on the street.

@rambo2 ... if you want to be compelling, be compelling... if you want to be persuasive, be persuasive... to do either or both in this case, it will require debunking the substance put on the table in front of you... mere dismissiveness won't cut it... because dismissiveness i just dismissiveness, it's not an argument for or against.

Baker was out of football from 2021 to 2024.

Was overdrafted by the Giants in the 1st round BUT is way too talenetd to not be playing in the NFL.

Guys who caught my attention this past UFL season:
  • Kai Nacua S Michigan
  • Kenny Robinson S Birmingham
  • Mark Gilbert CB Birmingham
  • Adonis Alexander CB Michigan
  • Mike Rose LB St. Louis
  • Anthony McFarland RB San Antonio
  • Matt Corral QB Birmingham
  • Hakeem Butler WR St. Louis
  • Marcus Sims WR Michigan
  • Jace Sternberger TE Birmingham
Martinez did pretty good too

It's pretty common knowledge that Guyton will be the left tackle. There is no argument.
