...and I say "thank god". That pitiful excuse for a sitcom has never been the same since Charlie Sheen left. The finale aired last night, Thursday 19 Feb and it was nothing but an ego fest for Chuck Lorre. Spoiler alert...

Sheen did not make an appearance. (good for him)

Anyone else wonder why he continued to watch even to the very last episode?

This last season was pretty good, Ashton grew on me. I wanted to stop watching when Sheen left but had to finish it out :D

Lorre had a recipe.

He changed an ingredient or two and it was still the same taste.

I liked Charlie more, but the show still worked!

I must have missed something. Same premise for all the 2 1/2 men shows. Saw a few in re-runs.
Only a few of the Friends.
Cheers for awhile. I thought Frezier was good on that show but it did not carry forward into his own shows.
Big Bang is good. I like it when Jim Parsons goes into the long winded speeches.

Charlie Sheen is actually a very good comedic actor if you can put up with all his nutty stuff.

I haven't watched that show in ages. I actually didn't even know it was still on.

To me Ashton Kutcher has never been worth watching in anything. He just bugs me for some reason. Not fair I know but I don't get his appeal at all.

Sheen and Lindsay Lohan should team up and star in a spinoff called Two and a Half Grams.

There is a true story out there about those two...Charlie gave her an enormous amount of money for something. Taxes, bail, lawyer fees..I do not remember.

But he did.

Proving he's either got money to waste or he's a nice guy sometime.

Never cared for the show much. Did watch the last episode after all the will he be there, will he not concerning Charlie. Nice how they poked fun at the premise of the show.

I never understood why it was so highly rated. But having had my TV on in the evenings when it's shown in syndication back to back on every channel it did seem like a much better show in the early years than the later Sheen years. Not related to Sheen, Cryer, etc. Almost like it became a parody of itself by then.

What would they do for the other 59 mins of the show?

Wouldn't surprise me if he did that he's got a lot of money and a nice guy quality. A couple years ago he reached out to a cop killer who was on the run in the LA area to try and mediate the situation. Sheen has his issues but he's not a bad guy.

I'm torn about him. I see an enormously talented guy & you're right. He has been great in situations to many people.

And then you know he goes off the deep end...drugs, prostitutes, being ugly regarding his kids. He has some very serious demons rattling around in that head of his.

It's amazing he has so much money still. Usually guys like him that fall off that cliff every year or so lose everything.

Charlie's a complex guy.

The last thing I read about him was that he dumped his porn star fiancée. Since then I have read nothing about him.

"I've reached out to them and they've reached back," Sheen said last September. "We're trying to figure out what makes the most sense. If they figure it out like I've presented it to them and they want to include me in some final send-off, I'm available and I'm showing up early. If not, it's on them."

It didn't happen.
Producer Chuck Lorre, who had the epic feud with Sheen that led to the star's dismissal, explained with a vanity card that was shown on air.
Here it is:
I know a lot of you might be disappointed that you didn' t get to see Charlie Sheen in tonight' s finale. For the record, he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only applied to average people. That he was far from average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible.
And then we would drop a piano on him.
We thought it was funny.
He didn't.
Instead, he wanted us to write a heart warming scene that would set up his return to primetime TV in a new sitcom called The Harpers starring him and Jon Cryer.

His epic flameout made him more money in one year than he's ever made. He pocketed something like $40M after he got canned from his show. Despite his meltdowns and all his other issues he's one of the wealthiest actors and the cash just keeps rolling in.
