Before the season started, there was some talk that Zeke should be a candidate for NFL ROY. Given his play so far, should Dak be a candidate for NFL ROY as well?

What say you?

Is that really a question?

Dak is ahead of Zeke at this point.

1. Wentz
2. Dak
3. Zeke

If he ends up remaining the starter, yes.
Or if they throw Romo in there for his first game back against that Philly defense, and he possibly ends up playing poorly, thus maybe getting Dak back starting.
Why not.

Purely due to the position he plays. Zeke, right now, is playing like the best running back in the league -- not just best rookie. If he ends the year that way, it'd be hard not to give him the award. It's not even out of the question yet that Zeke could break the rookie rushing record.

Definitely the position he plays, but the guy you have to be more excited about is Dak. Zekes numbers will be off the charts as predicted.

How about co – NFL ROY. That would be perfect, yes?

Why is it Wentz to lose? Dak has played better then Wentz and Dak has played 2 division games to start the season. I think Dak is ahead of Wentz

IMO Dak does not have much of a shot at winning. Only way is if he starts the majority of the season which I do not think that will happen.

I think eventually both Wentz and Dak will fall out of the running for different reasons. Dak probably won't start enough games to win it. Wentz will eventually lay a huge egg, which will hurt him quite a bit. You can stack the box on Zeke and limit his YPC, but opponents can game plan Wentz as soon as they get enough tape on him and his sledding will get a lot tougher.

If Zeke stays healthy, I think he will win rookie of the year, going away. I realize that if Wentz continues winning, that he will have the momentum and could beat out Zeke due to positional bias and East coast bias. I just see Wentz coming back down to earth.

Dak is better than Wentz, he just may not get a whole season to prove it out. Moreover, Wentz currently is playing with a much better defense than Dak or Zeke. Without that defense, he stands a much bigger probability of getting exposed sooner.

media bias
Wentz has played well but I'm not impressed. Doesn't go through reads, mainly throwing to first person, doesn't look off safeties or LBer. Most throws recievers were wide open. Has flirted many times with interceptors throwing in coverage, taking big hits.

There are five candidates:

Zeke
Wentz
Dak
Fuller
Shepard

Those five have been head and shoulders better than the rest of the class. Michael Thomas from the Saints is an honorable mention.

Zeke is going to end up leading the NFL in rushing yards and might flirt with 20 TDs. He'll end up way ahead of Dak and the race will be between him and Wentz.
