If Hurts pays we lose, you are underappreciating the impact of Hurts' ability to run on the overall game, It increases their ability to milk the clock which gives the opposing offense less time which is a big part of the reason why the Eagles have not allowed other offenses to be successful.

The big concern coming out of this game for me is that the defense gave up 34 points to Gardner Minshew, Would probably be close to a 50 burger if Hurts was in there. The defense is like swiss cheese, they are not good against the run or the pass anymore.

First it was 27 points not 34. How much did Hurts put up against us with 3 INT's by Rush to work with? He was actually mediocre in that game. He don't scare me we can beat them again.

Two issues that I can't quite wrap my head around in regard to the excuses, or alibis being made about the Eagles win.

1. Dak Prescott threw for over 300 yards in the game. He is the only QB to throw for over 300 yards against the Eagles this season. Kyler Murray is the next QB on the list at 250 yards.

2. The Eagles have the second best defense in the league. The same defense that gave up 300 yards and 40 points to Dak. After being spotted 10 points in the first quarter.

Now some may make the case the Eagles were missing players on their vaunted defense. But the laundry list of Cowboys who are on the walking wounded list is fairly significant, as well.

Hurts is a phenomenal player when he runs. That makes the RPO deadly. But the Dallas offense put up 40 points, and with a small bit of luck could have pushed that to 44 or more.

In both games this season, one team had their starting QB out for the game. The team with their starter won the game.

In the case of the Eagles, they still had the number two defense on the field. And yet the Dallas offense won the game. Even with the Eagles offense - who still had all their skill players but Hurts - put up 28 points.

If health is not a factor, why should the Cowboys fear the Eagles in a head to head rematch in the playoffs?

I don't think ANY team "fears" another team.

Not sure how many people in here play/played sports.....but competition is the overriding emotion, and perhaps coming through for your team to elevate your own status AND help ur team. No player fears playing another team.

And fans are just sitting on their couch watching a TV...hopefully THEY don't fear anything from comfort of their living room

Our defense looked a lot different in Week 6 then it has the past 3 games, unless our defense magically gets back in form we're screwed.

I should have corrected this. I was actually meaning the fans fear Philly, as well as Tampa Bay and the 9ers. Because the fans want to win and those teams could stand in the way.

the cowboys need to worry about tampa before even thinking about the eagles. tom brady owns the cowboys. if we play into tampa bays game plan of slowing the game down the cowboys are in trouble and will probably lose. prescott has me concerned already when after the eagles game that the cowboys were already thinking about another meeting with the eagles. this team has not won a playoff game on the road since 1992.

I think I fear the 49ers moreso than Philly at this point, especially with Philly's injuries. San Fran is big, quick and physical on defense which is an issue for Dak and others on offense. And then when San Fran has the ball, Shanahan isn't a dumby and won't stop pounding us and attacking our weakness, which is stopping the run. They'll play action this weak secondary to death after running it all over us.

I think, at this point, I'd rather face Philly in January.

I think the Eagles put an emphasis on creating a lot of pressure at the LOS to control the Cowboys running game and make Dak beat them with his arm. Dak prevailed.

The east coast media has hitched their wagon to the Eagles. They are not going to get behind the Cowboys.
