Parsons career on Dallas is going to be wasted if they don’t fix the LB-ing corp and the defensive tackle issues

Micah Parsons just gets better every time I watch him.

I was there yesterday, so I don't know what Nantz and Romo said, but the dude made two of the best plays I've seen from a Cowboy in years.

The first was a screen pass that he sniffed out, turned and sprinted the play down from behind.

That play was going to score. There was a seam to cut back into that was wide open. Instead, tackle short of the sticks and no damage.

And of course, the fumble at the goal line doesn't happen if Micah doesn't also run that play down at the 1 yard line.

That changed the game entirely, and Dallas rolled from there.

This guy is headed to the Hall of Fame first ballot barring anything catastrophic. He is the best defensive player in football right now.

He makes it fun to watch.
What amazes me (not just on these 2 plays) is when Parsons runs people down all the players on both teams that he just blows by to get there. His hustle and speed is just ridiculous.

Michael Irvin too. When Jimmy Johnson became coach, "I pulled out that list of everybody who told me don't worry about it (losing) as long as you pick up that check. And I said 'Jimmy. He has to go and he has to go. He's not here to win. He's not here to win.'"

I LOVE that story. It shows how passionate Irvin was about winning and how he couldn't stomach slackers.
Sounds like a snitch to me.

If Detroit goes ahead 13-10 in the 4th quarter the pressure swings to Dallas. The 18-point difference came about largely because Detroit had to play catch-up.

Does Dallas still win? Probably. Is it as comfortable in the end? Doubtful.
Not to mention Goff morphed into turn over machine mode in the 4th quarter.

Good plays but neither as special as the strip Dlaw made on the 1st and goal play.

but as usual the bias in this forum isn’t even talking about it
That play doesn't happen if Micah doesn't hustle the play prior.

"Saved the game" might be a little hyperbolic, with an 18 point difference in the score at the end, but it was a massive play.
Who says that 18-point difference even happens without Micah making that play? It was a game-changing play and quite possibly game-saving. Events play out differently if the Lions score that TD. You seem to be assuming events after that play out the same but that's not how time works. Everything is relative which means that play not being made changes everything after it.

I assumed no such thing. That's why I also said that if Detroit had scored the TD, it might have lit a fire under our offense. If Micah hadn't made that play, it clearly wouldn't have been an 18 point difference at the end of the game...or at least probably wouldn't have...but it seems likely that our defense would have kept them from scoring another 11 points more. Regardless, it was a great play, and a game changing play, but to say it was a game saving play is making a much bigger assumption than you thought I was making.

Micsh's from another planet, and DLaws play after changed the complexion of the game. A bit concerning the LVE let himself be blocked out of the play.

It would get derailed by the "he makes too much money and doesn't get enough sacks" morons.. Sometimes it's not even worth the effort to actually praise our own players.. Which says a lot doesn't it..
Valid point, unfortunately.
