1. Go all out for the waived Victor Cruz. That is an immediate upgrade to TWill.
2. Move heaven and earth to get DE Garrett here.

Also, if Jaylon can contribte, if Brown blossoms, that is Camberwell juice! we have a viable defence, blokes!

I think Williams is much better than Cruz at this point.

I believe most teams in the NFL feel this way and you might as well when you see the difference in their salaries in a few months.

Cruz was the 3rd option on a bad offense. He was a great story a few years ago but even Giant fans will tell you that he lost his passion for the game.

Cruz??? come-on now. TWill is still better than him. And you sound like Ditka when talking about DE Garrett. That would really put us in a huge hole. You also make no mention of all our UFA's. How do you propose we fill all those holes after mortgaging our future for one DE? Sorry, it makes absolutely no sense.....1 or 2

I agree id take a shot at cruz for vet min but i don't think that's enough to make Dallas a legit sb contender. I'm not sold on garret either. Not worth moving up to get imo.

Dallas no no 1t
No starting des unless you start mayowa
Lb is short on depth
The secondary is mostly questions

Twill > Cruz. Dude is always injured, cant preform if u don't paly. I'd take him but only for a role like Butler had this year. AND for cheap very cheap.

Only way I could see getting Garrett, would be to trade the 1st 2nd Romo and Free. Might be able to convince Cleveland, that they should build their lines before drafting a QB? Maybe? It's no secret Cleveland needs a lot of help all over their team. Convince them that they need picks and players, not 1 potential super star.

That being said. NEVER gonna happen, I'm just playing devil's advocate.

They'd have to convince Romo first. Why would he want to go to a team that's NOWHERE close to competing for a title? Same with Witten. Neither would have a reason to continue playing.....

Cruz is no more than a 3rd receiver these days. Give me DJack, Mike Wallace or Garcon to replace Twill and 2 solid pieces on defense to go along with Jaylon Smith who hopefully will be ready to play.

Yea it's the hardest sell in NFL history that for sure lol I've heard Romo has some say in where he goes built into his contract, but I'm not sure how far that goes. Maybe just force him? but I edited it and put Free in instead, seem like that would be more likely especially when the argument to Cleveland is they need to build their lines. Again I'm just playing devils advocate.

Edited: with Free leaving, that would mean bringing Leary back is a most.

I didn't mean for that to sound like I was dogging you. I saw what you were doing. I just think if they tried that, Romo would walk away from the game, especially since he's got another baby on the way. Why risk that for a team that's going nowhere for AT LEAST several years.....

Didn't think u were that was more for others reading and thinking I was really arguing for it.

As long as he does it after the trade lol

It's a hard sell trying to convince any QB to go to Cleveland. Only a QB that has no choice would go there. No way would Romo be convinced to go there. Cleveland has been a graveyard for QBs for over two decades. You have to go all the way back to Bernie Kosar to find the last QB that had success in Cleveland.

Cruz is done, was done a couple years ago. I am not the biggest T Will fan, and I'd like to replace him but not with Cruz...Garçon? Yes.

Put down the pipe.

Two swings
Two misses
Now what
Cruz is no better than twill and Garrett would gut two or more drafts

You like st me at Cruz. Washed up. Big time. Would rather keep Butler than sign that bum

Those are 2 very bad ideas.

Agreed. Cruz is a just a slot guy right now-- and we have Cole who is better at this point in their careers. Garrett will simply cost too much to bring here.

I'd rather see us move heaven and earth and bring in a guy like JPP to fortify the DE position. He's proven and will weaken a division rival and strengthen our roster. He's not that old either. Then-- bring back one of either Church or Wilcox, Carr or Claiborne. Let T Will and Brice walk.

Look to add BPA at #28. Then focus on CB, S, WR, RT and DL (hopefully one of those positions is added at #28) depth the rest of the draft. Fastest way to streamline the roster and make the jump to the SB. We need that "War Daddy" and I think JPP is about the closest thing that we could realistically add.
